Lydia B. Jent died yesterday
Lydia B. Jent, 97, formerly of Stockton, died yesterday at the Heritage nursing home in Rose Hill.
Her funeral service will be 9 o’clock Friday morning at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel here. A graveside service will be conducted at the Stockton (Kan.) cemetery.
She was born Feb. 19, 1887 in Green Lake, Wisc., to John Leo and Carrie Martha Brown Priwer.
She was married to the late John Jent.
Surviving are a sister, Mabel Kern of Rose Hill, a great nephew, Gick Fleming of Leon and Brent Fleming of Atlanta.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jessie Fleming and Jane Harper.
This homemaker was affiliated with the Congregational Church at Stockton.
Father dies in Wichita
Bethuel “Bud” Schreck, 62, Wichita, father of Nancy Neice of Leon, died Tuesday at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
The rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Downing & Lahey Mortuary in Wichita. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Church of the Magdalen there. Chaplan Larry Parker and Rev. Charles Regan will officiate. Burial will be in Calvery Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Oncology Department.
He was born Aug. 3, 1922 in Kansas to George and Josephine Redlinger Schreck.
He married Grace Duesing. She survives.
He was a retired Wichita Board of Education member.
Other survivors include a son, Richard of Wichita; daughters, Sara Roach of Marysville, Wash.; mother, Josephine Schreck of Dodge City; brothers, Lloyd of Wichita, Richard of Dodge City; sisters, Beth Cecil of Dodge City, Charlene Graves of Wichita, and seven grandchildren.

Alma M. Bohannan dies in Wichita
Alma Mae Bohannan, 83, Wichita, mother of Melvin Bohannan of Augusta, died Monday at her home.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Lakeview Mortuary in Wichita. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery.
She was born May 12, 1901 in Sedan to John and Josephine Dutton Fuller.
She married John Bohannan. He preceded her in death.
Other survivors include sons, Ivan of Wichita, John Jr., of Chautauqua, Callie of Cleveland, Okla., J.B., of Liberal; daughter, Shirley Griffing of Rose Hill; brother, Earl Fuller of Oswego; sisters, Bea Barnett and Evelyn Fuller of Sedan; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Bud Schreck rites Friday
Funeral services for Bethuel “Bud” Schreck, 62, Wichita, father of Nancy Neice of Leon, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Church of the Magdalen in Wichita.

Hattie Walker dies at 91
Hattie M. Walker, 91, Latham, died early today at Knutson Manor Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, Okla.
A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church in Oologah, Okla., and may be left at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado where friends may call.
She was born Dec. 6, 1894 in Indian Territory in Oowala, Okla., to Joseph and Ellen Prather.
She married Leroy Walker at Oologah in 1911. He preceded her in death Nov. 4, 1947.
She came to this area about a year ago from Ooologah. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Oologah and the Ladies Aid of the Church.
Survivors include a son, James L. of Albany, Ore.,; a daughter, Norma Shepler of Latham; a brother, Jack Prather of Van Vleck, Texas; a sister, Jessie Burchette of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a half brother, Myrl Baker of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a half sister, Edna Self of Allen, Texas.
Blanche Marshall dies in El Dorado
Blanche M. Marshall, 88, El Dorado, died yesterday at Knutson Manor Nursing Home there.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado. Dr. T.O. Parish will officiate. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
A memorial has been established with the Shrine Crippled Children’s Fund.
She lived in the Butler County area all of her life. She was a member of the Haverhill Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Victor and Bruce; two sisters, Sadie Smock and Pauline Kinney, all of El Dorado; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
