Ruby Williams died Thursday
Ruby V. Williams, 85, 900 Money, died Thursday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Latham (Kan.) cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church.
She was born Oct. 27, 1898 in Bosworth, Mo., to John R. and Villetty Knepper Bachtel.
She married Ora L. Williams in June of 1959 in Payette, Idaho. He preceded her in death in 1977.
She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a stepd-daughter, Nelda Mast of Lemon Grove, Calif.; brothers, John Bachtel and Dan H. Bachtel, both of Augusta, and Bob
sisters, Mary Baker of Augusta, Bertha Burke of Pittsburg and Meda Wilson of Pateros, Wash., and a stepgranddaughter, Robin Thompson.

James Hammond dies at hospital
James Earl Hammond, 91, Andover, father of Virginia Carpenter, Maxine Jackson and Kenneth Hammond, all of Augusta, died Sunday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Burl Allison Jr., will officiate and burial will be in the Andover Cemetery.
He was born April 29, 1893 in Stockton to Thomas and Ada Bradford Hammond.
He married Vida Maurine Turner Feb. 17, 1924 in Stockton. She preceded him in death in 1965.
He was a retired farmer and served in the military during World War I.
Survivors also include sons, Everett of Wichita, Harold of Coalmont, Colo., and Warren of Zapata, Texas; another daughter, Florence King of Kansas City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Grandmother dies at 93 in Augusta
Medalene Anderson, 93, El Dorado, grandmother of Chris Gilliand of Augusta, died Sunday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. Lowell Swender will officiate and burial will be in the Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 30, 1890 in Macon, Mo., to John William and Ann Elizabeth Greeen Clayton.
She married Fred Anderson Sept. 14, 1910 in Sedan. He preceded her in death Jan. 16, 1981.
Survivors include sons, Carson Carlyle Anderson of Wichita, Major Billy L. Anderson of Riverside, Calif., and Robert L. Anderson of Florence; daughters, Jimmie Lu Boucher of Latham, Catha Carlene Johnson of Wichita, and Anna Maxine Barnes of Abingdon, Va.; 12 other grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Graveside rites for Hammond
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Andover Cemetery for James Hammond of Andover.
He died Sunday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Virginia Carpenter, Maxine Jackson and Kenneth Hammond, all of Augusta, are among the survivors.
Wednesday funeral for Grace Winzer
Gracer C. Winzer, 84, Augusta, died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Sam Hartzler and Rev. Jack Tomman will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with Gideon’s International.
She was born May 14, 1898 in Haskell County, Texas to James E. and Margaret O’Hair Carter.
She married R.O. “Dick” Winzer Sept. 15, 1920 in Wichita. He preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Cumberland Church.
Survivors include sons, Bill and James, both of Augusta; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Orson G. Munson dies at 75
Orson George Munson, 75, Wichita, father of Max Munson of Augusta, died Monday at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita..
His service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Byrd-Snodgrass Funeral Home. Rev. O.J. Cook will officiate and burial will be in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
He was born Feb. 17, 1909 in Turton, S.D., to George Fred and Martha Bexdel Smith Munson.
He married Oza Mae Moore. She prededed him in death Dec. 20, 1979.
He was a retired Boeing Military Aircraft Co., employee.
Other survivors include sons, Herby and Donald of Wichita, Bob of Phoenix; daughter, Juanita Terry of Towanda, and five grandchildren.
