Carl Tillotson dies in Wichita
Carl E. Tillotson, 61, Wichita, father of Shirley Larimer and son of Earl and Elsie Tillotson, all of Augusta, died Monday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Old Mission Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. Charles Martin will officiate and burial will be in the Old Mission Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 3, 1922 in Pocahontas, Ark., to Wallace E. and Elsie C. Brewer Tillotson.
Tillotson married Betty L. Lange. She survives.
He was a plumber for St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors also include sons, Gary Tillotson of Tulsa, Okla., Warren Carter of Wichita; another daughter, Jacalyn Carter of Wichita; sisters, Faye Skaggs of Booneville, Ark., Pearline Conway, Christine Bybee, both of Wichita, and three grandchildren.

Mother dies in Wichita
Martha E. Schafer, 78, El Dorado, mother of Mary Lou Ireland of Leon, died Wednesday at the Lakewood Village nursing home in Wichita.
Her service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. Gary Wright will officiate and burial will be in the Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Amercian Cancer Society.
She was born June 7, 1906 in Butler County to George and RosaBell Rennaker Ingalls. She married Elmer Schafer July 25, 1925 in El Dorado. He preceded her in death in 1953.
This homemaker also leaves a son, Jack of Vellegreen, Colo; a daughter, Alice Walz of Wichita; sisters, Hazel Scholt of Joliett, Ill., Helen Shoopman of El Dorado; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Ray A. Wallace dies at 19
Ray Alan Wallace, 19, Manhattan, son of Francis Wallace and stepson of Phyllis Wallace of Augusta, died Saturday from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Elmwood Cemetery here. Rev. George Goudie will officiate.
He was born Dec. 6, 1964 in Wichita to Francis E. and Ruth E. Redburn Wallace Jr.
He was a construction worker and harvest laborer.
Other survivors include his mother, Ruth Childers of Pensacola, Fla.; brothers, Thomas Wallace of Belle Plaine, Jimmy Delano of Miami, Okla.; sisters, Susan Jones of Lesville, La., Deborah Noeller of Lumberton, Texas, and Tamara Delano of Augusta; grandparents, Mrs. A.P. Meyers of Augusta, Mr. and Mrs. F.E. Wallace Sr. of Wichita.

Isla Marie Fennell died Wednesday
Isla Marie Fennell, 86, a resident of Walnut Valley Manor nursing home, died there Wednesday.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Burl Allison Jr. will officiate.
A memorial has been established with the Augusta City Library.
She was born March 22, 1898 in Butler County to George and Addie Dooley Harrison.
She married Herbert E. Fennell. He preceded her in death.
This homemaker is survived by daughters, Naomi Cyphers, Leona Hooper, Anna Wilson, all of Augusta; brothers, Ray Harrison of Wichita, Allan Harrison of Edmond, Okla.; a sister, Monica Rowley of Wichita; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Sister dies in Kansas City
Mabel Maycumber, Kansas City, Mo., sister of Eva Long of Augusta, died there Thursday.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Hiattville, Kan., cemetery.

Macell Fleming dies in Wichita
Macell M. Fleming, 58, Wichita, died there this morning at Wesley Medical Center.
Her son-in-law is Gene Wilcox and his mother, Verna Wilcox, lives in Augusta.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fleming will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lakeview Mortuary Chapel in Wichita. Larry Dar-nall will officiate and burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery.
She was a nurse assistant.
Other survivors include her husband, John Fleming of the home; a son, John D. Fleming of Spring, Texas, and a daughter, Hazel Wilcox of Wichita.

Ben F. Hartman died Saturday
Benjamin F. Hartman, formerly of Augusta, died Saturday in Flourtown, Pa.
Services are pending at the Mission Chapel Mausoleum in Wichita for 2 p.m. Saturday.
A memorial has been established with American Heart Association.

Graveside rites for Matie Haden
Graveside services were held today in Rapid City, S.D., for Matie Haden, mother of Betty Engel of Augusta.
A memorial has been established with the Canyon Lake Senior Citizen Center in Rapid City, S.D., 57702.
Besides her daughter, she leaves a son-in-law, Godfrey Engel Jr. of Augusta; two grandsons, Chipper Engel of Rapid City and Jimmy Engel of Los Angeles, Calif.
