Curtis Eldon Goldsmith, 84, Augusta, retired Jack's I Men's Wear owner, passed away Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013.
Visitation from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. Those attending should use the 12th St. entrance.
Curtis was born Sept. 2,1928, to Ora Clyde and Laura Desdemona (Burk-doll) Goldsmith in Lyndon, Kan. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Eleanor Lucille Owen on Sept. 23, 1956, in Plattsburg, Mo. Together they owned and operated Jack's Men's Wear in Augusta. He was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed his grandchildren's sporting events.
Survivors include: his spouse, Eleanor "Ellie" Goldsmith of the home; daughters, Cindy (Gary) Nickel, and Laurie (Ernie) Debruler all of Augusta; daughter-in-law, Cay Goldsmith of Fredericksburg, Va.; brother, Raymond (Ann) Goldsmith of Lyndon, Kan.; 8 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Goldsmith; brothers, Gerald and Rodell Goldsmith and a sister, Erma Goldsmith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Amedisys Hos-pice, 250 W. Douglas, Suite 101, Wichita, KS 67202, or the Jimmy V. Foundation, 106 Tower View Court, Cary, NC 27513, or in care of the funeral home.

Beatrice A. Settergren, 98, of Augusta, joined her Lord and Savior Friday, Jan.25, 2013.
Visitation 5-7 p.m.Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at the First Baptist Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Beatrice was born in Audubon, Minn, on Dec. 18,1914, to the late Clara C. (Homstad) and Henry J. Thorsness. Bea graduated from Audubon High School at the age of 15 and received her teaching degree from Morehead State College at the age of 18. Bea was a minister's wife, Bible scholar, a long time Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church, an avid reader, and a friend to all. On Sept. 19,1935, she married Reverend Vernon V. White in Audubon, Minn, and he preceded her in death in 1980. In 1987 she married Lawrence R. Settergren in Augusta and he preceded her in death in 1998. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Henrietta Thorsness and Grace Smith.
Bea is survived by: daughter, Virginia Bender and husband Eddie of Casa Grande, Ariz.; son, John White and wife Barbara of Augusta; daughters, Joan Martin and husband Reverend Bruce of Bear, Del.; Carol Settergren of Raytown, Mo.; and Kathy Cain and husband Bill of Orlando, Fla..; 8 grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren and 7 great-great - grandchildren.

John William Archambeau, 66, of Augusta, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013.
Memorial graveside service 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Fairview Cemetery, rural Augusta with military honors.
John was born in Detroit, Mich, on July 3, 1946, to the late Jeannette Lael (Williams) and Donald Melrose Archambeau. John retired as a TSGT United States Air Force and he also retired as a corrections officer for the El Dorado Correctional Facility. On Dec. 22,1972 he married Diane Mef-ford in East Lansing, Mich. She preceded him in death.
