Norma Bisagno
87 AUGUSTA

Norma K. Bisagno, 87, of Augusta, passed away Monday,Feb.18,2013, at LakePoint Assisted Living in Augusta.
Visitation 5-7 p.m on Thursday,Feb 21, 2013, at Headley Funeral Chapel. Service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the Augusta First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Norma was born in McCracken, Kan. on Sept. 13, 1925, to the late Ruby (Elmore) and Glenn Ryan. She graduated from McCracken High School, Stephens College, and Kansas State University.
She was a member of the Augusta United Methodist Church, PEO, Pi Beta Phi Sorority7, Junior Forum, Friends of the Library and Brown Bag-jfea Book Club, Soroptimist Cub, Augusta Arts Sound, the Wichita LIP Investment Club, KSU President’s Club, DAR, and Eastern Star. She served on the Board for the Augusta Public Library and Idea, Inc., and was also recognized as a 50+ year member of PEO and Pi Beta Phi.
She married Robert D. Bisagno of Augusta April 3, 1947 They were married for 51 years when he preceded her in death in 1998.
Norma is survived by: her children and their spouses, Kay (David) Bleakley of Mission Hills, Kan., and David (DeeAnn) Bisagno of Augusta; four grandchildren, Matthew Bleakley of Dallas, Texas, Erin Bleakley of Mission Hills, Kan., Alyssa and Bobby Bisagno of Augusta); sister-in-law, June Parry of Southlake, Texas; five nieces and nephews.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Darian Nicole Bisagno in 1997; her brother and sister-in-law, Elmore and Lorraine Ryan, her sister and broth-er-in-law, Joan and Don Buster, her brother-in-law, Ward Parry; a nephew, Glenn Ryan.
Memorials have been established with the First United Methodist Church of Augusta, Augusta Public Library, Augusta Historic Theatre and the United Methodist Church of McCracken, Kan.

Gary Butler
62, WICHITA

Gary Butler, “The Tee Shirt Man”, 62, of Wichita and formerly of Augusta, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Thursday, Funeral service 2 p.m. on Friday Feb. 22 both at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, Wichita.
Gary is proceded in death by his mother Alice Butler.
Survivors include: his daughter Heather (Daniel) Hernandez; grandchildren, Madison and Steven Hernandez.
A memorial has been established with Campus High School Booster Club, 2100 W. 55th St. S., Wichita, KS 67217.

Rodney C. Powers
91, AUGUSTA

Rodney C. Powers, 91, Augusta, passed away, Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013.
Viewing will be 1-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, and visitation with family greeting
friends will be from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, all at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Rodney was born Sept. 12, 1921, to Lee and Pearl (Shuey) Powers in Tipton Ford, Mo. He graduated from Augusta High School in 1939, and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Wanda Fern Mercer on Oct. 17, 1945, in Augusta and they celebrated 55 years of a loving marriage. She preceded him in death in 2000.
Rodney co-owned and operated Mercer and Powers Grocery in Augusta with his brother-in-law John Mercer until 1950. He then became an area foreman for Skelly Oil for 20 years and later a maintenance supervisor for Fluor Construction. He traveled the world enjoying Indonesia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Puerto Rico and Alaska. Rodney was also an avid dirt track racing fan. He married Marjorie Miller in 2003 and she preceded him in death on January 12,2013.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Howard "Bub" Powers, and a sister Leona"Wooe” Dill.
Survivors include: son and wife, Lynn and Vicki Powers of Wichita; three grandchildren, Brian (Mylisa) Powers, Stefanie Hicks and Jeree (Chris) Farber all of Wichita; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jewell Mahannah and Evelyn Willing, both of Augusta.
A memorial has been established with Hany Hynes Memorial Hospice in care of the funeral home.
