Gwen Holloway
91, AUGUSTA

Gwen Holloway, 91, passed away on Monday, Feb. 18,
2013, at Lake-Point in Augusta.
Funeral service was held at Crestview Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, Wichita Falls, Texas.
Gwen was born on Dec. 19, 1921 to Splinters and Alma (McNiel) Hill in Wichita Falls, Texas. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School and lived there until 19 years ago when she moved to Augusta to be close to her only daughter. Gwen worked at the State Theater, where she was the assistant manager for 14 years. She also worked at the Women’s Clinic and
at the Oil Information Library.
She loved being around her family, especially her grandchildren.
Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Gilford Hill, and a nephew, Gary Rutledge.
She is survived by: her daughter, Charlene Duncan and husband, Tommy of Augusta; three grandchildren, Scott Duncan and wife, Stacey, Shannon Masterson and husband Jeff, and Shane Duncan and wife Linda; several great-grandchildren, including Taylor, J. J. and Levi Masterson, Austin Duncan and Jordan and Jalen Duncan; two sisters, Frances Rutledge of Iowa Park, Texas, and Blanche Shelton of Sweetwater, Texas; many nieces and nephews whom she loved.
Arrangements were handled by Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home, Wichita Falls, Texas.



Norma F. Shepler
90, ANDOVER

Norma "G.G." F. Shepler, 90, rancher's wife, passed away March 13,
2013.
Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 17, at Lakeview Funeral Home, Wichita; Rosary at 7 p.m. on Sunday, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Andover; funeral 10 a.m. on Monday, March 18, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
She was born July 10, 1922 to Roy and Maude (Prather) Walker in Oologah, Okla. Norma was a jack of all trades. She loved sports, especially KU basketball, quilting, gardening, painting and ceramics, but most of all, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Norma was very active at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and very gracious with her time, volunteering at Catholic Care Center, helping with Meals on Wheels, and assisting as a counselor at Prairie View.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Shepler, Sr. in 1988; daughter, Teresa Hodges in 2010; and brothers, Farren "Skip” and James "Jim" Walker.
Norma is survived by: her son, Delbert "Dub" (Jessie) Shepler, Jr.; grandchildren, Jeff (Kody) Shepler, Levi (Loree) McBeth, and Lindsay (Newt) Dodge; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Sandy Bugner.
