Goldie A. Green dies at hospital
Goldie Arena Green, 69, Douglass, mother of Jody Vogt of Augusta, died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Burl Allison Jr., will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 1, 1915 in Maple Hill to David Sears and Almeda Sornson Conaway.
She married Leon E. Green March 14, 1935 in Lawrence. He survives.
She was a homemaker.
Other survivors include a son, Gary of Wichita; another daughter, Janice Monyhan of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, William Conaway of Kemp, Texas; a sister, Sylvia Hazelwood of Gillette, Wyo.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mabel A. Bode dies at her home
Mabel A. Bode, 82, Holly, Colo., formerly of Augusta, died at her home Monday.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Strodes Funeral Home in Stillwater, Okla. Burial will be in the Morris Heights Cemetery in Stillwater.
She was born July 4, 1902 in Payne County, Oklahoma to Seloma and William Budzene.
She married Ed Bode. He preceded her in death in 1963.
The Bodes owned and operated Lakeview Service in rural Augusta from 1957 to 1964.
Survivors include a son, Carl Bode of Holly; a sister, Ella Schnider of Perkins, Okla.; two grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Former Augusta pharmacist dies
Lisle R. Carr, 93, Wichita, a former pharmacist and owner of the Carr Drug Store in Augusta in the 1930s, died Wednesday at Knutson Manor in El Dorado.
His services will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Carlson Funeral Home with Rev. Leonard Evans officiating. Internment will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetary in El Dorado.
Carr was born on April 9, 1891 in Noesho, Mo., to Richard and Ann Carr. He lived over 40 years in Wichita after leaving Augusta in 1941.
He was a member of the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, the Midian Shrine, the Scottish Rite and the Augusta Masonic Lodge.
Carr married Vera Grant on June 23, 1917, in Kansas City, Mo. She preceeded him in death in 1967.
He is survived by three daughters, Jane Buck of Houston, Doris A. Turner of Junction City and Dorothy A. Mueller of Wichita, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been set up to the American Heart Association through the funeral home.
Stepsister dies in Wichita at 80
Mollie E. Richey, 80, Wichita, stepsister of Jeri Wilson of Augusta, died Wednesday at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. Leslie Andrews and Dr. Herbert Cockerill will officiate and burial will be at the Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association.
She was born March 30, 1904 in Wichita to Stewart and Lola Carson Newcomer.
She was the retired owner of Richey’s Grocery in Wichita.
Other survivors include a daughter, Maxine Daugherty of Wichita; a brother, Tommy Newcomer of San Bernadino, Calif.; sister, Mayme Clark of Wichita; stepsisters, Dorothy Rathburn of Des Moines, Iowa, Tressa Herrington of Mesa, Ariz., Ann Noffsinger of Wichita; eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Dona Goucher dies at 32
Dona Dee Reece Goucher, 32, Monte Rio, Calif., daughter of Nola Mae and Gene Reece of Augusta, died Saturday from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident.
Her service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born July 2, 1952 in El Dorado to Harold Eugene and Nola Mae Hyde Reece.
She was a waitress at the Kountry Kitchen Restaurant.
Besides her parents, she leaves a sister, Vickie Benton of Manhattan.
