77, BLUE SPRINGS, MO.
Bobadel “Bobbie” Polk, 77, of Blue Springs, Mo., died Saturday, June 15, 2013.
A celebration of Bobbie’s life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main St., Blue Springs, Mo.
Bobbie was bom March 4,1936 in Emporia, Kan. to Ralph and Catherine Hill, She met the love of her life, Virgil Polk 63 years ago in Augusta. . They would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary Sept. 5,2013. She co-owned the Typesetter and was co-owner and publisher of the Buckner Villager. She enjoyed tennis, traveling, fishing, and bridge playing.
She is survived by: her husband, Virgil of the home; sons, Robin (Tonya), Stillwell, Kan., Jeff (Brenda), Plano, Texas, and Todd (Jennifer), Blue Springs, Mo.; grandchildren, Nicolas, Brandon, Danielle, Katelyn, Morgan, Dustin, Jackson, Logan, Dalton, Drew and Rylee.
She was prededed in death by her parents, and grandson, Zachary.
Contributions in memory of Bobbie may be made to the Community Service League or Salvation Army.

Richard L. Lauber, 73, Augusta, retired Beech aircraft worker and U.S. Navy veteran, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2013.
No service is planned.

Vicki Lee Gordon
61, WICHITA
Vicki Lee Gordon, 61, F.A.A. safety inspector of Wichita M.I.D.O., passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at West Ridge Community Church, 13310, W. 21st, Wichita.
Survivors include:
daughter, Lindsey Turner; grandson, Isaiah; siblings, Patrick (Mary) Gordon of Pratt, and Marijo (Don) Bland of Derby; two four legged friends also survive.
Vicki is preceded in death by her brother, Craig Gordon, and mother, Lucille Gordon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be donated to FLEAS, a local non-profit animal rescue, 1327 N. Woodlawn Blvd,, Derby KS 67037.

79, TOPEKA
Mary Lee (Davis) Johnson, 79, Topeka, formerly of Shorewood, ILL., passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Countryside United Methodist Church, Topeka. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Mary Lee was born Dec. 18,1933 in Winfield, the daughter of LaVere and Hazel (Beck) Davis. She graduated from Augusta High School in 1952 and received a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Washington in 1967.
Mary Lee married Earl Johnson in Ames, Iowa. His career as a chemical engineer for the US Coast Guard and Mobil Oil took the family to Seattle, St. Louis, Augusta, Kan., Westport, Conn., and Joliet, ILL.
Raising three boys, Mary Lee was an avid sports fan and the ultimate Sports Mom. She enthusiastically supported her sons’ multisports endeavors from Little League through high school, college, and the professional ranks.
The Davis Family own and operate Cascade Cottages inside Rocky Mountain National Park near Estes Park. Mary Lee and her family spent summers helping with the cabins. She loved hiking in the mountains and climbed to the summit of Long’s Peak 10 times.
Survivors include: her husband, Earl Johnson, Topeka; sons, Dr. Greg (Kathy) Johnson, Topeka, Brent (Jane) Johnson, Tallahassee, Fla., Barry (Heidi) Johnson, Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Dr. Eric (Jessica) Johnson, Blair (Jeslyn) Johnson, Alexis Newell, Kara (Mark) Mathias; great-granddaughters, Brynlee and Sophia; sisters, Grace Sipe and Fran Berner.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the Mulvane Unit at Alders-gate Village for the care she received during the past three years.
Memorial contributions may be made to Countryside United Methodist Church, 3221 SW Burlingame Road, Topeka, KS 66611 or Aldersgate Village - Good Samaritan Fund, 7220 SW Asbury Drive,Topeka, KS 66614.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson, Zachery.
