Arlene Warner
89, AUGUSTA

Arlene T. Warner, 89, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 in Augusta.
She was born in Mitchell, S.D. on Oct.25, 1923, to the late Opal (Stickler) and Clarence Davis. Arlene and her husband of 69 years, James, met in South Dakota, married in Missouri, but lived a majority of their lives in Marion, Iowa. She was employed at Collins Radio Company/Rockwell for 22 years before retiring. Arlene and James, moved to Augusta in 2009 to be closer to family.
James preceded her in death Jan. 19, 2012.
She is survived by: sons, Tim Warner of Augusta, and Jim Warner of Minot, ND; sisters, Doris Cummins of Marion, Iowa, Mae Fenner of Warrensburg, Mo., and Dixie Leath of Baker City, Ore.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held in Marion, Iowa.

David Adams, Sr.
88, WICHITA

David E. Adams Sr., 88, of Wichita, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Lakeview Funeral Home,
Wichita.
Funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at University United Methodist Church.
He was born May 18, 1925, to Charles and Beulah (Kisner) Adams in Augusta. David was a retired Navy Captain and principal of the Wichita Area Vocational Technical Center. He was an active member of the East Southeast Lions Club, Military Officers Association of America, University United Methodist Church, and Koinonia First Methodist Church.
David was an avid Wichita State University Shocker fan. He was a volunteer for McConnell AFB Hospital and Meals on Wheels.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Marilyn Thelma Adams and Esther New-ton-Adams; and brother, Archie Adams.
David is survived by: children, David Earl (Lisa) Adams, Jr., Bea (Jesse) Colburn, Donna Adams-Zimmerman, and Debra (Russ) Kerch-ner; grandchildren, Trey (Mandy) Adams, Tara
(Brad) McDaniel, D. J. Zimmerman, Lindsay (Michael) Blurton, Jenny (Eric) Knippa, Jennifer (Scott) Ruse, Jason Lud-wick; great-grandchildren, Christian (Jamie Mallinson) McDaniel, Kayla McDaniel, Madison McDaniel, Cody Adams, Courtney Adams, Caeden Adams, Bryley Adams, Kaycee Zimmerman, Kelsey Zimmennan, Parker Zimmerman, Saraphynn Knippa, and Dominik Knippa; great-great granddaughter, Madilyn Rose Zimmerman; brother, Charles Ray (Alice Piper) Adams; stepdaughter, Sharon Gilbert, and caretakers, Jason Leach and Kathleen Shepherd.

Leah Rae Arnold
66. AUGUSTA

Leah Rae Arnold, 66, of Augusta, passed away Monday, July 15, 2013 in El Dorado.
Memorial at a later date.
Leah was born in Emporia, Kan. on July 5,1947, to the late Marianna Albina (Shedler) and Raymond Duane Arnold. She was a beautician and cosmetologist.
She is survived by: son, Dylan Lamb; numerous brothers and sisters; 2 grandchildren; and former husband, Ronald McLaughlin.
She was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Lamb and former husband Robert Lamb.
Leah graduated from Newton High School in 1965 then attended cosmetology classes in Wichita. She married Robert Lamb in Augusta, where they lived until their divorce. Later she and husband Ron moved to Washington State. They remained there until 1996 when Leah returned to Augusta. Leah worked for USD 402 as a custodian and also continued working as a beautician. Leah remained in Kansas living clean and sober until her death. She has many loving friends who will miss her dearly.
