John Lee, 68, Great Bend, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013.
Visitation from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend. Funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend. Interment with military honors at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend.
John Lee was born on Aug. 17,1944, at Howard, Kan., to Leland I. and Ila (Pontious). He married Cindy yer on Feb. 14,1982, iami, Okla. He was driller and roughneck or Mohawk Drilling; Pickrell Drilling; White and Ellis Drilling; was a corrections officer for Larned Mental Health Correctional Facility; and retired as a mental health technician for Larned State Hospital. He was a long time Great Bend resident.
Mr. Lee was a veteran of both the United States Navy and the U.S. Army. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Great Bend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by: wife, Cindy Lee of the home; four sons, Johnny Lee and his wife, Brandi of Augusta, James Lee and wife, Carey of Augusta, Chris Stephens and his wife, Joelle of Overland Park, and Travis Lee of Great Bend; daughter, Melissa Adelhardt of Great Bend; half brothers, Eddie Lee of Texas, Frankie Lee of Texas, and Lonnie Lee of Oregon; half sisters, Sharon Evans of Colorado, Shirley Meyers of Texas, and Carol Lane of Colorado; grandchildren, Nicole, Kendall, Taylor, Grade, Jordan, Caelei, Tanner, Reagan, Alexa, Tristan, and Breanna; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Jaxon.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James C. Lee, and half brother, Terry Lee.
A memorial fund has been established with Trinity Lutheran Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.

Margaret Louise | (Varner) Rawlings, 83, of Augusta, passed away in her home at Cottonwood Point, Augusta, Saturday, July 27, 2013 surrounded by her family.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, at Headley Funeral Chapel; funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Margaret was born in Gridley, Kan. on March 13,1930, to the late Margaret Leslie (Strickland) and Cloyd Martin Varner. On Oct. 15,1950 she married James W. Rawlings at the First Baptist Church in Augusta and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Esther Bewley.
She is survived by: sons, Mike Rawlings and wife Terri, Kevin Rawlings and wife Toni, all of Augusta; five grandchildren, Amanda (Jamie) Evans of Andover, Wil (Megan) Rawlings of Tulsa, Kelly Adams of Augusta, Abigail Rawlings of Tulsa, and Trisha Rawlings of Augusta; six great-grandchildren, Michael and Faith Adams, Sadie Evans, Liam Rawlings, and Alex and Crystal Davis; and brother, Lawrence Varn-
er of Mount Holly, NJ.
