100, AUGUSTA
Arleen D. Leedom, 100, went to be with her Lord on Aug.14,2013 in Augusta.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday,Aug. 17, 2013, at the Augusta First Baptist Church.
Arleen was born on Dec. 7,1912 to Bessie and Donald Wadsworth in Dodge City, Kan. She graduated from Walnut High School in 1931 and then received her Elementary School Teaching Certificate from Pittsburg Kansas Teachers College. After teaching grades 1-8 at a country school north of Walnut for a few years, she moved to Augusta and lived with her sisters, Maxine Hess and Jean Wallace. During this time she met Theirl “Catt” Leedom. They were married on Dec. 31, 1937.
Arleen worked 25 years as a bookkeeper at Robinson Electric of Augusta until her retirement.
She is survived by: two children, Linda (Louie) Williams of Augusta, and Gary “Buck” Leedom of Andover; 7 grandchildren, Brent, Kim, Sherri, Kelli, Eric, David and Chris; 13 great- grandchildren, all of whom she greatly enjoyed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, granddaughter Kelli, and both sisters.
Arleen will be remembered most for her deep Christian faith, her ability to stay positive when problems came, and a great sense of humor.
A memorial has been established at the First Baptist Church of Augusta.

97, BRYAN, TEXAS
Mitchel Levi Kingsley, 97, passed away on Aug. 13, 2013 peacefully of natural causes at Crestview Retirement Center in Bryan,
Texas, while being attended by family and caring staff.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tbesday, Aug.20, 2013, at Haverhill Christian Church, preceded by visitation at the church from 9 to 10 a.m., under the direction of Headley Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Mitchel Kingsley was born in a farm house near Thief River Falls, Minn, on July 5th, 1916. He was the second of six children of Lewis Levi Kingsley and Estella Luella Eastman Kingsley.
Mitchel served in harm’s way in the United States Navy for three years during World War 2 as a Radioman 1st Class. Things learned in the navy formed the basis of a lifelong hobby as a licensed ham radio operator. Following the war he taught school for four years before starting work with Mobil Oil Corporation in Augusta, Kansas. In 1963 he transferred from Augusta to Beaumont, Texas with Mobil. He worked for Mobil for a total of 39 years, retiring as a practical engineer specialist at the Mobil refinery. He was a lifelong faithful member of The Disciples of Christ Church, serving in numerous positions in the congregations in both Augusta and Beaumont.
In retirement Mitchel stayed active. He and his wife Hattie traveled extensively; they taught driver safety courses for many years, and he continued pursuing his hobbies of ham radio operator, woodworking and gardening.
Mitchel was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Hattie Ina Kingsley.
Mitchel is survived by: his two sons Jim and Jerry and their wives; four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made to Hospice Brazos Valley, 502 W 26th St, Bryan, TX 77803

92, AUGUSTA
Keith H. Davison, 92, of Augusta, passed away Thursday,Aug. 15, 2013.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday,
Aug. 20, and service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, both at Headley Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Augusta.
Keith was born in Grand Island, Neb. on April 9,1921, to the late Grace (Howell) and Earl Davison. He served during WWII in the U.S. Army. He spent all of his adult life on the family dairy farm, where he retired as a dairyman. On Dec. 24,1941 at Kinsley, he married Pauline "Polly” (McFeely) Davison.
He is survived by: daughters, Jody Link, and Regi Eldringhoff (Joe), all of Augusta; sister, Betty Morris of Leon; grandchildren, Shane Eldringhoff, Michelle Register and Courtnie Kingsley; great-grandchildren, Skylar Register, Collin Edringhoff, Camren Eldringhoff, Sydni Register, Paityn Holder, Gavin Holder, Sophi Register.
He was preceded in death by his wife Polly, and grandson, Shawn Eldringhoff.
Memorial donations to Augusta VFW Post 6746 P. O. Box 522 Augusta, KS 67010.
