Dorothy Mae Perry, 91
Dorothy Mae Perry, 91, of Augusta, passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 in Andover. '
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday, and service 10 a.m.
Saturday, Jan.18, 2014, all at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Burial will follow at Sunset Lawns Cemetery, El Dorado.
Dorothy was born in El Dorado on March 18,1922, to the late Marcia Mabel (Allen) and Jesse Abner Ratcliff. She served in the U.S. Navy as a Wave during WWII. She was a letter carrier at the Augusta Post Office. Dorothy was a member of Lakecrest Bible Baptist Church, Augusta, where she served as secretary for 29 years and a member of Purple Heart 4-H club serving as a club leader. On April 1,1945 she married Everett Lester Perry in Washington D.C. and he preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by sisters, Mickey Gamble and Irene Turner.
Dorothy is survived by: her sons, Dennis Lyle Perry (Patricia) of Wichita, Doyle Paul Perry (Sarah) of LaVeen, Ariz., and Randy Allen Perry of California; brothers, Jack Ratcliff of Wichita and Clegg Ratcliff of Guam; sisters, Mildred "Millie" Newman of Apache Junction, Ariz. and Patricia Mitchell of El Dorado; 5 grandsons, Jason Lance Perry (Kristy), Christopher Allen Perry (Abbie), Michael Paul Perry (Michelle), Ryan David Perry, and Lukas Shawn Perry; and 6 greatgrandchildren, Madison, Blake, Kirsten, Landon, Zachary and Laikyn.
Memorial donations to Lakecrest Bible Baptist Church or Butler County College Life Enrichment.

2014 at Christ Lutheran Church, Augusta. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Roger was born in Winfield, Kan. on Dec. 6,1951, to Velma June (Brunner) and the late Carl Edward Pierce. He worked as a engine hanger at Beechcraft. Roger enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by: mother, June Winger and husband Bill of Augusta; sons, Roger Pierce, Jr. and wife Sharon of Towanda and Carl Pierce II of Hutchinson; daughter, Kristine Rosenbaum and husband Tim of Augusta; brother, Ron Pierce of Augusta; sisters, Sharon Barlow and husband Bill of Shell Knob, Mo., and Jackie Pierce of Augusta; 7 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Pierce.
Memorial donations to Headley Funeral Chapel for funeral expenses.

Lowell Grover Upchurch, 94, formerly of Augusta, passed away Thursday, Jan.l6, 2014, in his home in Toronto, Kan.
No visitation. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta. Those attending should use the 12th St. entrance.
Lowell was born Feb. 24,1919, in Douglas County, Mo., to Grover and Ella(Miller) Upchurch. He served his count during World War II in the Army Air Corp and graduated from Missouri State Teachers College in Marysville, Mo. He married Loretta Gail Thompson on Jan. 1, 1950, in Augusta. Lowell was a self-employed carpenter and owned and operated Upchurch Ditching Service.
His survivors include: his brothers, Raymond Upchurch of Mountain Home, Ark and Stanley and his wife Evelyn of Noel Mo.; sisters, Gina Dolese of Augusta and Wilma Whinery of Rose Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; spouse; sisters, Sybil Upchurch and Zelma Still.
