AUGUSTA
Florence M. Mason, 84

Florence Marie (Boyd) Mason, 84, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m.with funeral services following at 2 p.m.. both on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, in the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Florence was born Aug.22, 1929, to Samuel Elmer and Hazel Lela (Flanary) Boyd in Decatur, Ark.
Florence grew up in Hiawasse, Ark. and married Alan Keith Mason on Dec. 13, 1948, in Gravette, Ark. Florence worked at Beech Aircraft and Andover School District upholstering seats for buses. She also worked for Land Manufacturing as a sewing machine operator and at Marie’s Gallery, a gift shop in Augusta. She loved to crochet, sew and paint pictures. She was a bookkeeper for her business, as well as and her husband’s, Alan’s Auto Service in Augusta for 30+ years.
Survivors include: her husband, Alan of the home; son, Kenneth Mason of Protection, Kan.; daughter, Sherry Mason of Augusta; sisters, Bonita Powell (Van) of Goddard and Lela Boyd of Wichita; granddaughters, Monica and Veronica Mason of Oklahoma City, Okla.; brother-in-laws, Hollie Mason of Springdale, Ark., Ronald Mason of Fairfield, Ohio and Bert Mason (Mary Jane) Mason of Chipley, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Boyd; and a son, Ronald Mason.
A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202 or Alzheimer’s Association, 1820 E. Douglas, Wichita, 1& 67214, or in care of the funeral home.

James A. Lane, 56

James Allen Lane, 56, Wichita, passed away Monday,Jan. 20, 2014.
Service 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at Headley Funeral Chapel,
Augusta. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
James was born in Wichita, on April 28,1957, to Donna Ruth (Woolery) and the late Alvin Arthur Lane. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a machinist for The Valve Shop.
James is survived by: his mother, Donna Moore of Augusta; fiance, Vicki Stockton; sons, Allen Lane and wife Stacey, Ryan Lane, Rocky Lane, all of Augusta; daughter, Desiree Maxfield of Mulvane; sisters, Linda Thomason and husband James of Augusta, Sharon Hanna and husband Buck of Lyndon, Tana Anderson of Augusta; grandchildren, Ashley Maxfield,
Emily and Levi Bilheimer, Kayla and Kaiden Moore, Courtney Lane, Beverly Marsteller, and Daniel Marsteller; numerous nieces and nephews.

AUGUSTA
Alan K. Mason, 84

Alan Keith Mason, 84, Augusta, passed away at his home on Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014.
Visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. with family and freinds on Friday, Jan.24, 2014; double service following at 2 p.m. for both Alan and his wife, Florence, both in the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel, Augusta. Interment to follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta, using the Ohio St. entrance.
Alan was born June 13,1929, to Hollie and Edith Mae (Murray) Mason in Hillsdale, Okla. Alan served his country in the U.S. Army during Korea patrolling the DMZ between North and South Korea. He married Florence Marie Boyd on Dec. 13,1948, in Gravette, Ark. Alan worked on the assembly line for Boeing and Beech and then he owned and operated Alan's Auto Repair in Augusta. He also sold real estate and was an auctioneer. Alan was a member of the local American Legion Post and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
His survivors include: his son, Kenneth Mason of Protection, Kan.; daughter, Sherry Mason of Augusta; brothers, Hollie Mason of Springdale, Ark., Ronald Mason of Fairfield, Ohio, and Bert Mason (Mary Jane) Mason of Chipley, Fla.; granddaughters, Monica and Veronica Mason of Oklahoma City, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Florence on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014; son, Ronald K. Mason; sisters, Dorothy Atkins, Grace Pecha, Elaine Armas; brothers, Marion, Charles and Eugene Mason.
A memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 South Market, Wichita, Kansas 67202 or in care of the fimeral home.
