Helen Katheryn McCoy, 84

Helen Katheryn McCoy, 84, of Augusta, passed away Friday, March 7,2014 in Augusta. Memorial service 2 p.m. Monday, March 10 at Christ Lutheran Church, Augusta. Helen was born in Sharon Springs, Kansas on March 25,1929, to the late Maria Dorothy Elizabeth (Mensing) and Thurman Allen Phares. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and her spending time with her grandchildren. In June of 1964 she married Earl A. McCoy who survives her. She is also survived by: daughter, Sherry Robbins of Kansas City, Mo.; son, Terry McCoy and wife Carla of Derby; and daughter, Kathy Winzer and husband David of Grand Coulee, Washington; sister, Margaret Dietz of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren, Jennifer Mutchler, Lisa Barcenilla, Alex and Christine McCoy, Tracy, Troy and Todd Winzer, and Abby Strocsher; great grandchildren, Naomi Felton, Eddie Mutchler, Grayson, Hudson and Bryson Barcenilla, Grant and Cade Strocsher and Natalie and Owen Winzer. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Garry Craig McCoy; daughter, Karla McCoy; brothers, Ernest, Kenneth and Ronald Dean Phares; sisters, Elizabeth Elsen, Erna Phares and Esther Dietz. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions maybe made to Christ Lutheran Church 1500 Cron Augusta, Kansas 67010.

Randy Goucher, 62

Randy Goucher, 62, of Augusta, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014 in El Dorado.
A celebration of his life was held Monday, March 10, 2014, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta.
Randy was born in Wichita, on Jan. 6,1952, to Patricia Leora (Brown) and Donald Burel Goucher. He worked as a house skirter at East Side Homes and he was a remodeler. Randy enjoyed music playing in bands around Augusta.
He is survived by: his mother, Patsy Ninke of Augusta; daughters, Carissa Beard (Robert) of Rosalia, Hannah Goucher (Ron Daniels) of Augusta, and Kaiti Goucher (Dustin Green) of El Dorado; brother, Charlie Goucher of Augusta; sisters, Marilyn Harrison (Mike) of Olathe, Tricia Bassingthwaighte (Bob) of Augusta, Connie Mead (Ronnie) of Augusta, and Donella O’Gorman (Dena Kidd), of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren, Wyatt, Lilli, Levi, Cole, and Blake; former spouses, Yvonne Sneary and Kristen Howard.
He was preceded in death by; wife, Dona Reece; a son, Donald "Donnie” Goucher; father, Donald B. Goucher; step-father, Bob Ninke; and a nephew, Robbie Clark.

Keith R. Hanshaw, 75

Keith Roland Hanshaw, 75, Augusa, passed away, Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital.
Private family service.
Keith was born Oct. 12,1938, to Reginal Valentine and Iza Geneva (Hays) Hanshaw in Girard, Kan. He graduated from Girard High School and served his country during the Korean War as a sergeant in the United States Air Force. He married Louise Eileen Long on Feb. 8,1959, in Hiatteville, Kan. Keith retired as an avionics technician from Hawker Beechcraft.
His survivors include: his sons, Ronald Hanshaw of Winfield and Richard Hanshaw of Augusta; daughter, Kathy Moxley and her husband Chris of Augusta; sister, Margaret Townsend; grandchildren, Travis Rose, Elaine Hinton and Melissa Armstrong; one great grandson, Elijah Hinton.
A memorial has been established with Midian Shrine Plane of Mercy in care of the funeral home.
