Mother dies
in Wichita
Nettie P. Wilson, 82, Cheney, stepmother of Monte Wilson of Augusta, died Saturday at Riverside Hospital in Wichita.
Her service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cheney United Methodist Church. Rev. Robert Simison will officiate and burial will be at the Fair-view Cemetery there.
A memorial has been established with the Cheney United Methodist Church.
She was born Oct. 5, 1902 in Pond Creek, Okla., to her Arthur and Effie Walker Loomis.
She married Marvin Wilson Jan. 15, 1974 in Meade. He survives.
Other survivors include stepsons, LeRoy of Murdock and Gary of Kingman; stepdaughters, Sondra Russell of Blunt, S.D., Dixie Bibles of Phoenix, Ariz., Norma Seifert of Des Moines, Iowa, Lila Levin of Manhattan; brother, Vawn Loomis of Wichita; sisters, Ruby White of Cheney, Helen Turner, Mollie Creighton, both of Wichita; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Corrie Cline dies at AMCI
Corrie Mary Rea Cline, 76, 310 W. Seventh, died at the Augusta Medical Complex today.
Her service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Doyle S. Whitesel will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 12, 1908 in Texas to Floyd and Mabil Hicks Baggerly.
She married Herbert H. Rea who preceded her in death in 1983. She married Eddie Cline this year. He survives.
This retired practical nurse also leaves a son, Harold Howard, and four grandchildren.

McKay memorial service pending
William “Bill” McKay Jr., father of Michael McKay of Augusta and a veteran pilot from the Augusta-Wichita area, was reported lost at sea 200 miles from the nearest land.
A memorial service is pending either in Wichita or Richardson, Texas, where he had moved six years ago.
McKay ferried light aircraft overseas.
He was an Air Force pilot, a bush pilot who served missionaries in Africa and a pilot flying small planes all over the world.
On Tuesday, Oct. 22, the U.S. Coast Guard station at Halifax, Nova Scotia, received word that McKay's plane, a two-prop De Havilland Caribou, was overdue.
Besides the 25-year-old son Michael here, McKay leaves two daughters, Chris Wright of Wichita, Cindy McIntyre Casper, Wyo., and another son, William T. who is serving with the Army.

Memorial service set for Bill McKay
A memorial service for William “Bill” McKay, father of Michael McKay of Augusta, will be at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Richardson, Texas.
Dr. Leslie Conrad and Rev. Arnold Moede will officiate. McKay was reported lost at
sea Oct. 22, according to the U.S. Coast Guard station at Halifax, Nova Scotia.
He was an Air Force pilot and a bush pilot who served missionaries in Africa. He ferried light aircraft overseas.
Survivors include, his wife, Barbara of the home in Richardson; another son, William, serving in the Army, and daughters, Chris Wright of Wichita, and Cindy McIntyre of Casper, Wyo.

Donald A. Hill dies at AMCI
Donald Alan Hill, 85, 1928 Cron, died today at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Towanda Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Cancer Society.
He was born Jan. 13, 1899 in Courtland, Neb., to Junious E. and Anna Marian Hill.
He married Edith Frankie Priest Oct. 9, 1920 in Wichita. She survives.
He was a retired jig builder at Boeing Military Aircraft Co.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, Towanda 30 Masonic Lodge, Wichita Consistory and the Wichita Shrine.
Other survivors include two grandchildren, Howard Randall LeGrande of Nederland, Colo., and Sherry Cohen of Augusta, and three great-grandsons.
A daughter, Donna Belle LeGrande, preceded him in death.

Smith funeral is tomorrow
Funeral services for Roy Smith of Rosalia will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.
The 50-year-old man died Tuesday in a Houston, Texas hospital after complications developed when his body rejected a new heart.
A memorial has been established with the National Heart Assist and Transplant Fund.
Butler countians, friends and former co-workers at Pester Refinery in El Dorado helped the family defray medical expenses with a fund raising drive that raised about $20,000.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; a son, Stephen of Sterling; a daughter, Susan of Wichita; brothers, Benford E. of Hays, Levern E. of Eureka;
sisters, Bonnie Adkins of Hayward, Calif., and Norma Scott of Andover, and three grandchildren.
