Jerry D. Ballinger, 45
Jerry Dale Ballinger, 45, of Augusta, passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, in Wichita.
Visitation 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday at Headley Funeral Chapel. Service will be 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, at Hope Community Church, Andover. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Jerry was born in Wichita, on March 18, 1969, to the late Geraline "Jeri" (Rasmussen) and Wesley Ballinger, Sr. On Aug. 29, 2004 in Florida, he married Laura (Moser) Ballinger, who survives him.
He is also survived by: his daughters, Kaelin and Ryleigh Ballinger; brothers, Wesley Ballinger Jr. of Wichita, Randy Barber and wife Susan of Haysville, and Ron Barber and wife Eleisa of Wichita; and sister, Susan Barber-Cota and husband Alex of South Carolina.
Memorials for the Benefit of Kaelin and Ryleigh.

John Hood Frank Smith, 82, passed away at his home on Monday, Jan. 26, 2015.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday Jan. 31,
2015, at the Douglass Cemetery in Douglass, Kan.
John was born May 25, 1932, in Ponca City, Okla., to Hood and Mary (Johnson) Smith.
He was united in marriage to Joyce Sheets on Dec. 5, 1970; in Wichita John worked as a sheet met-alist at Boeing for 37 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.
He is survived by: his wife, Joyce of Augusta; children, Tom and his wife Candy Smith of Marion, Deb and her husband Bill Thornton of Hartford, Kan., John Smith of El Dorado, Millie and her husband Bruce Bergstrom of Lebo, Kan.; grandchildren, Melanie (Eric) Cushman, Samantha (Neil) Cookson, Levi (Tracy) Lutz, Cheyanne Gould, Sierra Gould, Brandy (Ed) Gannon, Jacob (Cassie) Bergstrom, Adam (Allison) Bergstrom, Aerin (Rick) Conn, Mycal (Darius) Miles, Amanda Fae (Jesse) Pulley, Arianna ( Nick) Hoskinson; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Elmina Smith, Emma O’Bryant, Agnes Ritter, Jerry Ryan, Frances Leedom, Dorothy Rolen, Edna Ellis; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Carmen Dean Martin and Arlene Barnett.
A memorial has been established with Shriners International and may be left in care of Dunsford Funeral Home & Crematory.

Hattie L. Frye, 85
Hattie Lula Frye, 85, of Augusta, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015.
Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m., with family present from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb.
1, at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Monday,
Feb. 2, 2014, at Haverhill Christian Church.
Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta.
Hattie was born Feb. 27, 1929, to Homer and Martha (Currier) Warren. She married Gale Frye, they were married for 44 years. Hattie was a registered nurse and worked for nursing homes throughout her career. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, reading, camping, and canning.
Her survivors include: her sister, Doris Torix, of Sacramento, Calif.; grandchildren, Jack and his wife Linda Sloderbeck of Augusta, Amy and her husband Derek Edwards of Omaha, Neb., Gale and her husband Bryan Masten of Derby, Toni Ploense of California, James "Bo" and his wife Nancy Bernardo of Derby; 10 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Hattie was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughters, Carolyn Sloderbeck and Kathryn Zlomke; broth-
ers, Wilbur and Royal; sisters, Ruth, Elizabeth and May.
Memorials have been established with the Cancer Center of Kansas in care Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta.
