AUGUSTA
Clyde Stockton, 82
12 years and served as sexton at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta for 15 years.
Clyde often enjoyed sharing laughter with family, friends and strangers alike. He was a prankster and loved telling jokes
and sharing stories. He loved spending and grandchildren.
He devoted his life to church and preaching the word of God. He was a consummate advocate of people in need and helped in anyway he could. He proudly watched and cheered his grandkids during the seasonal area sports and was constant presence behind the home team.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Ada of Augusta; sons, Steve and Jo Hanna Stock-ton of Cedar Hill, Tex., Ed and Teresa Stockton of Austin, Tex., Jeff and Tamy Stockton of Douglas, Dave Stockton of Leon, Ronnie Painter Jr. of Hale, Mo., Phillip and Tammy Painter of Andover, and Danny and Jennifer Painter of Augusta; daughters, Jeanette and Jim Frock of DeWitt, Mo., and Rebecca and Larry Nichols of Augusta; 22 grandchildren, Lisa, Laura, Stephanie, Rochelle, Samuel, Aaron, Paul, TJ, Karmen, Laura, Dylan, Jessica, Jimmy, Randy, Chelsie, Camden, Averie, Presley, Savanna, Korbin, Emma, and Harrison; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Clyde was preceded in death by his mother; father; sister and brother-in-law; great-grandson, Ryan Mason; and first wife, Patricia (Rierson) Stockton.
Memorials may be made to Victory Worship Center in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
Clyde Edward Stockton, 82, passed away on March 18, 2015. Services will be at 2 p.m. Mon-March 23, 2015 at Victory Worship Center. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Clyde was born on July 3, 1932 in Granby,
., to Rollie and Maggie (Scholes) Stockton. He was married to Ada (Culbertson Painter) on Nov. 12, 1983 in Hale, Mo.
Clyde served as a pastor for 65 years, most recently at Victory Worship Center Augusta, Kansas. He was owner and operator of Stockton Memorials for the last 30 years. He was an Assistant Funeral rector for Dunsford Funeral Home for

Doris E. Herron, 90
Doris Elizabeth Herron, 90, passed away on March 25, 2015.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Doris was born on March 24, 1925 in St.
Louis, MO. to Harry and Nellie (Mc-Murtry) Standley. Doris married Alva Herron on Aug. 8, 1943.
She is survived by: her daughter Tracey and her husband Todd Reed of Rose Hill; sons, Don and his wife Linda Herron of Austin, Texas, Dale and his wife Jenne Herron of Wichita, and Jim Herron and his wife Augusta ; 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Eddie Standley of Wichita.
Doris was a housewife and loved to iron. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She loved country music.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
