AUGUSTA
Dale E. Carter, 59
Dale E. Carter, 59, of Augusta, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015 in Andover.
A memorial celebration of his life will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 9,
2015 at the First United Methodist Church,
Augusta. Dale was born March 11, 1956 in Wichita to the late Rosetta (Newell) and Charles Carter. He married Dawn (Hedenskog) on May 19, 1988 in Potwin, who survives him. Dale was a diesel mechanic for Dustrol, Hydrochem, Price trucking and most recently Fleet Maintenance. He enjoyed working on cars and riding his motorcycle and spending time with his grandson Landon. Dale was proud of being a reserve EMT and volunteer firefighter out of Potwin.
Other survivors include: daughter, April Whiteside; son, Daniel Carter and fiance, Hailey Warner; daughter, Deanna Windholz and husband Marcus, all of Augusta; brothers, Charlie Carter and wife Kim of Eldridge, Mo., Terry Carter and wife Margaret of Newton; sister, Rosie Swift of Newton; grandchildren, Charley Windholz and Landon Carter.
He was preceded in death by brothers, John, Paul and Larry; sister, Dorothy Carter; his stepson Justin Whiteside; granddaughter, Grace Windholz; and a brother-in-law, Harry Swift.
