Marguerite Jackle dies in Douglass
J. Marguerite Jackle, 83, Douglass, died Thursday at the Douglass Nursing Center.
Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Douglass First Christian Church. Rev. Jim Lorensen will officiate and burial will be in the Richland Cemetery, near Douglass.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church in Douglass.
She was born June 19, 1901 in Douglass.
Her parents were Birney and Grace Holcomb Dunn.
She married Edward Walter Jackle. He preceded her in death in 1981.
Other survivors include a son, John of Douglass; sisters, Nadine Woody of Douglass; Betty King of Augusta; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge of arrangements.

Erma L. Stovall
A funeral service for Erma L. Stovall, 79, Wichita, mother of Augustan Bill Stovall, was held Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Peabody.
Mrs. Stovall, a retired Henry’s sales clerk, also left another son, Jack Stovall of Ellicott City, Md.; a daughter, Shirley Hadley of Wichita; a sister, Leora Morrow of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Stovall died Saturday, Dec. 29. The Baker Funeral Home at Peabody was in charge of arrangements.

Nelle Dace dies at 75
Nelle Boellner Dace, 75, Leon, died Saturday at Knutson Manor Nursing Home in El Dorado.
Her service was at 2 p.m. today at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. Jean Wilcox officiated and burial was in Belle Vista Cemetery there.
A memorial has been established with the Leon United Methodist Church.
She was born April 4, 1909 in Butler County to Will and Mabel
Smith Miller.
She married Victor Boellner Jan. 31, 1932. He preceded her death.
She was a retired secretary for the H&M Drilling Co.
Survivors include a nephew, Raymond Baker of Stillwater, Okla., and a niece, Mrs. Don Percell of Englewood, Colo.

Jacob Miller
A funeral service for Jacob Miller, Mulvane, father of Kent Miller and brother of Sarah Kingston, both of Augusta, was held Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Mulvane.
In addition to the son and sister here, the retired Boeing Military Aircraft Co. employee left his wife, Phyllis; another son, Phillip of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, John Miller of Fort Pierce, Fla.; another sister, Rosie Schmidt of Montezuma, and three grandchildren.
Miller died Sunday, Dec. 30. The Senter-Smith Funeral Mortuary at Mulvane was in charge of arrangements.

W. Ray Batrum dies at 79
W. Ray Batrum, 79, Augusta, died Sunday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Doyle S. Whitesel will officiate.
He was born Nov. 18, 1905 in Latham to John Wilson and Anna May Brenner Batrum.
He married Mae Allen in Great Bend. She preceded him in death Feb. 8, 1978 in Norman, Okla.
He was a rotary rig laborer in the oil field. He was a member of the First Church of God. He served in the army during World War II.
Survivors include a brother, Howard LeRoy of Sterling, Colo.; a sister, Bertha Parks of Augusta, and nieces, Ruby Raiguel of Augusta, and Margaret Ann Bailey of Sterling, Colo.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Loren Batrum and three sisters, Viola Henderson, Ruth Waggoner and Mary Ethel Batrum.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sarah I. Rich dies at 92
Sarah Ina Rich, 92, El Dorado, mother of Ivan Rich of Augusta, died Friday at Knutson Manor Nursing Home.
Her funeral was at 2 p.m. today at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. John Grisham and Rev. Randy Gaugher officiated and burial was in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
She was born April 28, 1892 in York, Ill., to Robert Lee and Mary Hodge Reynolds.
She married William Rich Dec. 19, 1909 in Robinson, Ill. He preceded her in death in 1946.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in El Dorado.
Other survivors include daughters, Lucille Grisham of EL Dorado, Ruth Schawo of Briggsdale, Colo., Doris Kelley of Houston, Texas; brother, Howard Reynolds of Murphy, N.C.; sisters, Vada Irwin of Palestine, Ill., Wanda Littleton of Englewood, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Charles McCune dies in Wichita
Charles C. McCune, 60, Wichita, brother of Kenneth McCune of Douglass, died Friday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral was at 1 p.m.. today at the Downing & Lahey Mortuary in Wichita. Dr. Roger Fredrikson officiated and burial was in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
Memorials have been established with the First Baptist Church in Wichita and the American Cancer Society.
He was a retired Beoing Military Airplane Co., employee.
He was born June 21, 1924 in Benton to Leonard and Elizabeth Egan McCune.
He married Marjean Spencer. She survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Cheryl Hennigh, Cindy Baldwin, both of Wichita; stepsons, Spencer Davies of Denver, Colo., Scott Davies of Andover; brothers, Alfred of Everett, Wash., Merle of Pratt, Vernon, Orville, Marvin, all of Benton, and four grandchildren.
