Mary Rosiere dies at 92
Mary Mae Rosiere, 92, Newton, mother of Dorothy Luding of Augusta, died Monday at the Wheatstate Manor in Whitewater.
The rosary will be at 7 o’clock tonight at the Draper Cannon Funeral Home in Newton. Rev. Robert Larson will officiate. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newton. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hartford.
She was born May 5, 1893 in Champaign, Ill., to Pat and Mary Dumbell Marler.
She married Joseph E. Rosiere on May 2, 1911 in Florence. He preceded her in death Jan. 22, 1972.
Other survivors include sons, Joseph of Wyandotte, Okla., Raymond of Wichita; daughters, Eva Toland of Denver, Colo., Elvira Keazer of Elbing, Agnes Burton of Benton; 32 grandchildren and 70 great-grandchildren.
Sister dies in Winfield
Alice A. Smith, 94, Udall, sister of Cecil Busch of Augusta, died Monday at the Good Samaritan Center in Winfield.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Congregational Church in Udall. Rev. Norman A. McCallum will officiate and burial will be at Star Valley Cemetery near Udall.
A memorial has been established with the Udall Congregational Church.
She was born July 20, 1890 in Udall to Michael and Anna Bentley Busch.
She married Thomas D. Smith Oct. 24,1907 in Udall. He preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1922.
Other survivors include sons, Chester of Udall, Thomas A. of Parsons, Samuel of Noel, Mo., James of Red Wing, Minn.; daughters, Ida Sanders of Winfield, Esther Halpain of Duncan, Okla.; another brother, Ernest Busch of New Albany; 28 grandchildren and 93 greatgrandchildren.
Swisher-Taylor-Morris Funeral Home in Winfield is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Evelyn Polly Davis, 32, Wichita, have been set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bluestem High School auditorium in Leon.
She died Saturday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Rev. Chester Bodenhamer will officiate at the funeral. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Lakeview Cemetery in Wichita.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
She was an English teacher at Circle High School in Towanda.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas A. Scott of Wichita; parents, Ellis and Charlene Guy Ehrlich Sr., of Leon; daughters, Elizabeth and Morgan Scott of Wichita; brothers, Ellis Ehrlich Jr., of Leon, Fred Davis of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and a grandmother, Oral Davis of Beaumont.

Rachael Emily Beaman, 96, Augusta, formerly of Marion, died Monday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Leon (Kan.) Cemetery.
She was born April 8, 1888 in Kansas to LaFayette and Rebecca Krout Gordon.
She married Albert Beaman who preceded her in death in 1966.
She was a retired beauty operator.
Survivors include sisters-in-law, Hazel Leidy Beaman of Covina, Calif., and Sedane Beaman of Leon; a nephew, Vernon Hammer of Leon, and nieces, Elizabeth Beaman and Lucy Logan of Wichita, Wilma Herndon of El Dorado, Phyllis Kalen of Palm Springs, Calif., Ethel Weaver of Sarasota, Fla., and Geurtha Hays of New Mexico.

Funeral services for Hattie Jane Kingsley, 103, formerly of Leon, were at 2 p.m. today at the Dunsford Funeral Home. She died Saturday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Rev. Burl Allison officiated and burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery
Survivors include daughters, Dorothy Rhoads of Wichita and Doris Kingsley of Augusta; sons, Durwood Kingsley of Lyons and Doran Kingsley of Liberal.
A son, Dean, preceded her in death in 1953.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Brooks of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. in the Claflin (Kan.) cemetery.
She was born Feb. 23, 1888 in Mahone, W.Va., to Phillip and Mary Rebecca Hill Waggoner.
She married William Aaron Simmons. He preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons, Larry and Lawrence of Claflin, Charles of ElSabramte, Calif., and Ernest of Omaha, Neb.; daughters, Sarah Schmidt of Augusta and Hazel Van Buren of Claflin; brothers, Clyde Waggoner of Overton, Texas and Trevie Waggoner of Canton, Ohio; a sister, Dorothy Deem of Americus, Ga.; 24 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
A son, Kenneth, and two daughters, preceded her in death.
