Earl Redman dies, funeral on Tuesday
Earl C. Redman, 63, a man who loved horses and the country lifestyle, died Thursday at his home in Wichita.
This native of Bourbon County was an infrequent visitor to Augusta, but known to many in this area. He was an employee of the Paul Manns’ Holiday Farm in the Andover area.

“I began looking after horses in the third grade. I used to haul corn on a horse-drawn wagon before I went to school and there were plenty of times when it was 1 o’clock or so before I got to school,” he recalled.
Redman came to Butler County in 1959 to work on a farm near El Dorado. He later worked for the late Bill Skaer northeast of Augusta and others in this area.
