F.A. Borsdorf rites today
Fred A. Borsdorf Sr., 61, Alma, brother of Margery Grubb of Douglass, died Tuesday.
His funeral was at 2 p.m. today at the Campbell Funeral Home in Eureka. Rev. Tom Redmon officiated and burial was in the Janesville Cemetery in Hamilton.
A memorial has been established with the Wabaunsee County Historical Museum in Alma.
He was born Aug. 31, 1923 in Reading to John Henry and Ella Martin Borsdorf.
He married Mary Gulick March 1, 1947 in Hamilton. She survives.
Borsdorf was a retired grade school administrator.
Other survivors include a son, Fred Jr. of Arkansas City; daughters, Jeannie Foose of Grand Rapids, Mich., Danetta Cook of Tonkawa, Okla. Lisa Borsdorf of Manhattan, and Laura Borsdorf of Tempe, Ariz.; a brother, Floyd of Pahoa, Hawaii; sister, Helen White of Wichita, Charlotte Ruhl of Herrington, and eight grandchildren.
Nephew dies in car accident
Brian King, 25, an airman at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, N.C., and a nephew of Kenneth King of rural Augusta, died Saturday in an automobile accident in Moorehead City, N.C.
His funeral was at 2 p.m. yesterday at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. Randy Gauger officiated and burial was in Sunset Lawns Cemetery there.
Other survivors include his parents, Edward and Ann King of Madison, Ala.; a brother, Eric of Mount Vernon, Wash.; grandparents, Lloyd and Dorothea King of El Dorado.
Ex-Augustan dies at 83
Mary M. Todd, 83, Celina, Texas, formerly of Augusta and a retired teacher, died May 13. Her funeral was May 18. Survivors include a daughter Georgia Todd of Plano, Texas

Brother dies
William G. Hommertzheim, 74, Sharon, brother of Pauline Lee of Douglass, died Monday at his home.
The rosary will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Boniface Catholic Church. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sharon. Father Schinstock will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was born Sept. 1, 1910 in Okarchee, Okla., to Peter Joseph and Marie Gassen Hommertzheim.
He married Margaret Fisher Nov. 9, 1948 in Wichita. She survies.
He was a blacksmith and an auto mechanic.
Other survivors include sons, David of Attica, Joseph of Medicine Lodge; daughters, Ruby Gieswein of Lansing, Linda Gibson of Encampment, Wyo., Janet Delight of Liberal, Martha Crites of Hazelton; brothers, Bart of Medicine Lodge, Francis of Salida, Colo., Henry of Wichita, Jack of Valley Center; sisters, Elizabeth Loux of Salina, Kathryn Loewenstein, Helen Hommertzheim, both of Sharon, Margaret Downing of Kiowa, Irene Bitsche of Chickasha, Okla., and eight grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Sharon and the American Legion.
The Forsyth Funeral Home in Medicine Lodge is in charge of arrangements.

Lloyd Conder dies at 79
William Lloyd Conder, 79, El Dorado, brother of Ruth Adams, Fern Reser and Louida Stafford, all of Douglass, died Saturday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Richland Cemetery near Douglass. Dr. Joe Riley Bums will officiate.
He was born March 21, 1906 in Butler County to John Lloyd and Marilla Jane Bare Conder.
He married Sheila Holcomb Aug. 28, 1927. She preceded him in death May 31, 1962.
He retired from Cities Service Oil Co. as its communications specialist in 1970.
He was a member of the First United methodist Church and the Cities Service Retirees Club.
Other survivors include a brother, John Conder of Farmington, N.M.; sisters, Verda Getchel of Bradford, Pa., and Margaret Newman of Ellin-wood, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established with the Kansas Lung Association.
Mother dies in El Dorado
Thelma Smith, 82, El Dorado, mother of Betty Young and Marjorie Beal, both of Augusta, died Saturday at her home.
Her funeral was at 11 a.m. today at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. Harold Kieler officiated and burial was in the Belle Vista Cemetery in El Dorado.
She was born Nov. 16, 1902 in El Dorado to John and Harriet Clark Moore.
She married T. Ed. Smith in 1964 in El Dorado. He survives.
She was a retired dental assistant and a member of the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado.
Other survivors include a
stepson, Bill Smith of Des Moines, Iowa; a brother, Russell Moore of Odessa, Texas; five grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association.
