Peggy H. Irving dies in Wichita
Peggy Hope Irving, 62, 1224 Hooper, died yesterday at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Axmann of the First Baptist Chruch will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 5, 1922 in Beloit to Arthur and Olive Grout Pooler.
She married Geroge D. Irving Sept. 4, 1955 in Fall City, Neb. He survives.
She was a Methodist.
Other survivors include a son,
Gary Lee, and a daughter, Gayla Le Anne, both of Augusta; brothers, Charles G. Pooler of New Braunfels, Texas, Orvis J. Pooler of San Antonio, Texas and a sister, Jane Giesen of Wichita.
A brother, James T. Pooler, preceded her in death.

Former pastor funeral today
Rev. Larry Nebergall, former associate minister at Augusta’s First Baptist Church, died Saturday at the Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora, Ill.
His funeral service was held this afternoon in the First Presbyterian Church at Aurora and burial was in Lincoln Memorial Park there.
For the past two years, Nebergall has been working as a family counselor for the Chicago Metro Area Youth For Christ. He served as an associate pastor here for 4 1/2 years.
He leaves a wife, Karen; two children, Stefanie and Timothy; his father, William Nebergall of Lewiston, Ill.; his mother, Hildredth Nebergall of St. David, Ill.; two brothers, two sisters, two half-brothers and one half-sister.

Mike Meloy dies at 76
Mike Raymond Meloy, 76, Route 2, died at his home Sunday.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the DeVorss Mortuary in Wichita. Ministers Elmo Meloy and Dale Whitsell will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Oatville.
A memorial has been established with the First Church of God in Augusta.
He was born June 28, 1908 in Orlando, Okla., to William and Emma Knott Meloy.
He married Elizabeth Heschmeyer Aug. 7, 1929 in Wichita. She survives.
He was a self-employed truck driver for 40 years before his retirement in 1973.
Other survivors include a brother, Harley Meloy of Fairbanks, Alaska and a niece, Johnnie Corsaut of Wilson, Okla.

R.E. Underwood dies at home
Richard E. Underwood, 62, Andover, died Saturday at his home.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Andover Cemetery. Rev. John Britton will officiate.
A memorial has been established with the Butler County Unit of the American Cancer Society.
He was born May 27, 1923 in Blue Mound, Kan., to Lowell and Edith Briggs Underwood.
He married Cecil Marice Steele April 14, 1945 in Iola. She survives.
Underwood was an avionics repair technician.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Lotus Masonic Lodge at Blue Mound.
Other survivors include a son, Richard A.; a daughter, Donna Carr, both of Andover; brothers, Clifford of Mapleton and Larry of Blue Springs, Mo.; a sister, Eva Cash of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and three grandchildren.
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Brother dies in Flordia
Ralph Paul Hedrick, 84, brother of W.M. Hedrick of Augusta, died Friday in Pensacola, Fla.
Hedrick, a retired resort manager, was bom Oct. 4, 1900 in Dubuque, Iowa, is also survived by his wife Inez, two stepsons and their families.
He lived in Latham for a short time. Hedrick was preceded in death by a brother, W.A. Hedrick, St. Louis, in late April of this year.
Burial was today in New Orleans, La.
