E. JACK RODELANDER . . .funeral on Friday
Jack Rodelander dies at AMCI
Everett Jack Rodelander, 70, 1405 Starkey, died today at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church.
He was born March 30, 1915 in Cushing, Okla., to Everett and Nola Cruzan Rodelander.
He married Winifred Carlson July 13, 1946 in McPherson. She survives.
He was a retired pipeline worker for Kaneb Pipeline.
Rodelander served in the military during World War II and has been a member of the Augusta City Planning Commission since 1979.
He was a Methodist.
Other survivors include a son, John of Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Jean Mitchell of Augusta; a sister, Blanch Elbert of McPherson, and two grandchildren, Niki Gresham and Kristin Mitchell, both of Augusta.

Brother dies in Wichita
Robert Dorland, 66, Wichita, brother of Billie Fretz of rural Augusta, died yesterday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Fair-view Cemetery in Greensburg. Dr. Roger Roberts will officiate.
Memorials has been established with the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Wichita and the American Cancer Society.
He was born July 2, 1918 in Greensburg to William and Mabel Beck Dorland.
He married Louise Price Aug. 9, 1941. She survives.
Dorland was a retired senior designer and salesman at Manor House Gallery in Wichita.
He was a deacon for the Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Survivors also include a son, Robert W. Dorland Jr. of Prairie Village; a daughter, Kathy Dorland of Overland Park; a brother, Gene Dorland of Virginia Beach, Va.; sisters, Evelyn Foster of El Dorado, Ruth Darby of Warsaw, Mo., Maurine Frink of St. John, and three grandchildren.
DeVorss Mortuary in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.

Corey Ballinger dies at AMCI
Corey Tyndall Ballinger, 28, Augusta, died today at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Ray Gilstrap will officiate.
A memorial has been established with the Augusta Medical Complex.
He was born Dec. 28, 1956 in Wichita to Gene and Haroldine Martin Ballinger.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Gene and Haroldine Ballinger of Augusta; a brother, Michael of Wichita; a sister, Holly O’Donnell of Wichita, and grandmother, Mildred Ballinger of Augusta.

Oscar Nitz dies at 82
Oscar T. Nitz, 82, Wichita, formerly of Augusta, died today at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Masonic Home Chapel in Wichita. Burial will be ain the Walnut Valley Memorial Park in El Dorado.
A memorial has been established with the Kansas Masonic Home in Wichita.
He was born Jan. 28, 1903 in Cummings to William and Lena Larson Nitz.
He married Lalla Garnett Fitzwater Feb. 8, 1929 in Wellington. She preceded him in death.
Nitz was a retired Mobil Oil refinery employee.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mystic Tie Lodge 74, and the Wichita Consitory.
Survivors include a sister, Ida Ricketts of Cummings, and a niece, Darlene Failor of Wichita.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
