Treva Roark dies at 78
Mary Treva Roark, 78, Augusta, died Sunday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the White Chapel Cemetery in Wichita. Rev. Burl Allison Jr. will officiate.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home.
She was born Sept. 28, 1906 in Augusta to James Zachary and Kittie Lou Pendleton Kennett.
She married Charles E. Roark. He preceded her in death in 1977.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church here.
Survivors include a sister, Ann Seaney of Phoenix, Ariz. Another sister, Mabel Phillips, preceded her in death.
Rites pending for Bill Todd
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Dunsford Funeral Home for Bill Todd of rural Augusta.
The 37-year-old caretaker of the Raft Ranch, southwest of Augusta, had been reported missing for about a week, according to captain Larry Cody of the Butler County Sheriff’s Department.
Todd’s body was found yesterday about 4 p.m. yesterday in a pickup truck in a field at the Raft Ranch.
Cody said the cause of death was asphyxiation and that the death has been ruled a suicide.
Alice Wolf dies at 80
Alice G. Wolf, 80, Douglass, mother of John Wolf of Augusta and Norma Cooley of Douglass, died Saturday at her home.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. today at the Douglass Cemetery. Rev. Jim Lorensen officiated.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
She was born April 12, 1985 in Maple City to Henry and Florence Hockenberry Artherton.
She married George Wolf Dec. 31, 1922 in Arkansas City. He preceded her in death in 1981.
Other survivors include a daughter, Nina Reese of Wichita; brothers, Bill Artherton and Frank Artherton of Arkansas City, Clarence Artherton of Sacramento, Calif.; sisters, Clara Wilson and Dorothy Hixson, both of Arkansas City, Nancy Morlan of Springdale, Ark.; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home of Douglass was in charge of arrangements.

Refinery burn victim dies in Texas hospital
Adrain Dwane Adams, 27,
Silsbee, Texas, formerly of Augusta, died Saturday at the Baptist Hospital in Beaumont,
Texas, where he had been hospitalized since he was severely burned in a refinery accident July 3.
His funeral will be 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in Christ Lutheran Church here. Rev.
Gaylen Burrow will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Shriners Hospital Burns Institute,
Galveston Unit, 610 Texas Ave.,
Galveston, Texas, 77550.
He was born Oct. 15, 1957 in Wichita to Billy and Eva Lou Hendry Adams.
Adams married Linda Church Feb. 20, 1977 in Augusta.
She survives.
He was a Mobil Oil refinery employee in Beaumont.
He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Other survivors include a son,
Steven Adams of Silsbee; a daughter, Katrina Adams, Silsbee; a brother, Jearl Adams, Baltimore, My.; a sister, LaVonne Wright, Ponca City, Okla., and his parents, Billy and Evalou Adams, Augusta.

The Adrain Adams family has set up a trust fund for children at the Augusta Bank & Trust in memory of Adams.
The 27-year-old former Augustan died Saturday after he was burned in a July 3 accident at the Mobil Oil refinery in Beaumont, Texas.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Christ Lutheran Church here.
