Former resident Mary Pease dies
Mary M. Pease, 85, Bella Vista, Ark., a former Augusta resident, died Tuesday.
Services will be at 11 a.m., Friday at the Community Church in Bella Vista.
Mary and her husband George formerly lived in Augusta. They were members of the First Christian Church here. Mary was the sister of the late Fern Cummings. She was also active in the PEO Sisterhood.
In addition to her husband, George, survivors are daughters, JoAnn Scott of Pensacola, Fla., Mary Emery of Bella Vista; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Memorial has been established with Community Church, Bella Vista, Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Bentonville, Ark.

James Ratliff dies at 65
James B. Ratliff, 65, Douglass, died Thursday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Douglass Cemetery. Rev. Jim Lorenson will officiate.
A memorial has been established with the American Lung Association.
He was born July 21, 1920 in Shamrock, Texas to James and Avo Beasley Ratliff.
He married Louise Vierthaler Sept. 12, 1946 in Hutchinson. She survives.
He was a retired alfalfa dehydration mill operator in Oxford.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge 151 and the American Legion Post 202.
Other survivors include sons, Gary of the home and James of Alexander, Va.; daughters, Pat Newlin of Mulvane and Mary Corbin of Ponca City, Okla.; a brother, Finas of Lancaster, Calif.; a sister, Irene Huddleston of Mustang, Okla., and nine grandchildren.
Hilyard Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge of arrangements.

Gloria Bowers dies at 59
Gloria Bowers, 59, Douglass, died Friday at her home.
Graveside services were at 1 p.m. today at the Richland Cemetery in Douglass. Louis Tandy officiated.
A memorial has been established with the Douglass Public Library.
She was born July 31, 1926 in Douglass to Neal Thelbert and Della Maude Chauncey Pegg.
She married Lonnie Bowers Jan. 4, 1948 in Winfield.
Other survivors include a son, Larry of Douglass; daughter, Connie Hearne of Fall River; brothers, Stanford of Englewood, Colo., Emerson of Canyon, Texas, and three grandchildren.
Ray S. Smalley dies in Winfield
Ray S. Smalley, 68, Atlanta, died Saturday at a hospital in Winfield.
His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Atlanta Christian Church. Brother Randy Lynch will officiate and burial will be in the Atlanta Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
He was born Feb. 14, 1917 in Latham to J.L. and Jessie Stewart Smalley.
He married Irene Downen Sept. 10, 1940 in El Dorado. She survives.
He was a farmer in the Latham and Atlanta area before he began working for Beech Aircraft Co., in 1952. He retired from Beech as a sheet metal worker in 1980.
He was a member of the Atlanta Christian Church and the International Brotherhood of Machinist No. 733 in Wichita.
Other survivors include a son, Wayne Smalley of Udall; sisters, Ethel Kesterson of Kent, Wash., and Thelma Murphy of Renton, Wash., and two grandchildren.
Miles Memorial Chapel in Winfield is in charge of arrangements.

Viola M. Reavis died on Friday
Viola May Reavis, 63, Manhattan, mother of Forest Reavis of Augusta, died Friday in Valley Center.
Her funeral was at 1:30 p.m. today at the Downing & Lahey Funeral Home in Wichita. Lecil Sullivan officiated. Another service will be at the Cowan-Edward-Yorgensen Funeral Home in Manhattan. Burial will be in the Westmoreland, Kan., cemetery.
She was born July 21, 1922 in Bigalow to Harvey and Adah Hunter Reavis.
She was a minister and a missionary.
Other survivors include her mother, Adah Reavis of Manhattan; brothers Edwin of Manhattan, Wayne of Jacksonville, Ore., and a sister, Fausta Kaiser of Albany, Ore.
She had been cared for the last few months at the Glenn Olsen home in Valley Center.
Curtis Stoll dies at 60
Curtis C. Stoll, 60, Rose Hill, retired superintendent of Rose Hill school district, died Friday.
His funeral was this morning at the Rose Hill United Methodist Church. Graveside services were at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon at the Yates Center, Kan., city cemetery.
Memorials have been established the the Curtis C. Stoll Media Center in Rose Hill and the American Cancer Society.
Survivors include his wife, Mayona; a son, Stan of Salt Lake City, Utah; a daughter, Sheila Tubach of Fort Scott; brothers, Omer of Chanute, Richard of Kirkwood, Mo.; a sister, Violet Turner of Claremore, Okla.; stepmother, Martha Stoll of Buffalo, and five grandchildren.
