Harry McClelland died today at 86
Harry McClelland, 86, Route 2, died today at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
Viewing will be at the funeral home only.
He was born Nov. 17, 1898 in Ottawa to James and Ella Amanda Mitchell McClelland.
He married Lula Inez Culick Dec. 31, 1919 in Ottawa. She preceded him in death in 1978.
He was retired from Cities Service and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include a son, Glenn McClellan of Augusta; daughters, Naomi Rhue of Arlington, Texas and Dorothy Voight of Leon; sisters, Faye Elders of Ottawa and Edith Guthery of Chicago, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Minnie Scaer dies at AMCI
Minnie Anna Scaer, 96, 1326 Pattie, died today at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Gaylen Burow will officiate.
A memorial has been established with the Christ Lutheran Church.
She was born Aug. 22, 1889 in Augusta to Carl and Caroline Paeth Reetz.
She married Walter Scaer. He preceded her in death in 1933.
Survivors include nieces and nephews including Helen Stemen, Nolan Reetz, all of Augusta, and Georgia Sims of Albuquerque, N.M., and a sister-in-law, Nydine Reetz of Augusta.

‘Ben’ Brewer dies at 62
Arthur “Ben” Brewer 62, Douglass, died yesterday at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the First Baptist Church in Douglass. Rev. Bill Scott will officiate and burial will be in the Mulvane Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
He was born April 25, 1923 in Mulvane to Arthur B. and Ella Mae Cranston Brewer.
He married Dollie M. Dutton Jan. 10, 1976 in Augusta. She
survives.
He was a salesman at Wichita Bumper Service. He was a member of the Latham Masonic Lodge, the Bit and Spur Saddle Club and the American Quarter Horse Association.
Other survivors include a son. Dr. John Brewer of Yardley, Pa.; daughters, Merry Dvorak of Peck, Patti Dickenson of Augusta, Sydney Brewer of Salina and Melody Proctor of Miami, Okla., and 11 grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge of arrangements.
