Lloyd Warner dies at 87
Lloyd G. Warner, 87, Douglass, died today at Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Douglass First Christian Church. Rev. Jim Lorensen will officiate and burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church in Douglass.
He was born March 9, 1898 in Douglass to Sidney and Frankie Forsyth Warner.
He married Neva Creed May 7, 1918 in Winfield. She survives.
He was a retired farmer, a member of the First Christian Church and a life long resident of Douglass.
Other survivors include a daughter, Frances Maxwell of Rock; brothers, Paul of Dodge City, Harold of Scottsdale, Ariz., Edward of Galena Park, Texas; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge of arrangements.

Virginia Worrell dies in Wichita
Virginia R. Worrell, 62, Leon, died this morning at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Leon United Methodist Church. Rev. Keith Mace will officiate and burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Leon United Methodist Church.
She was born Oct. 8, 1922 in Leon to Noah and Anna Reiserer Boley.
She married George Worrell March 18, 1941 in Leon. He survives.
She was a lifelong resident of Leon. She was a member of the Leon United Methodist Church, past matron of the Little Walnut Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Start, Quest Club and Leona Vista.
She was a member of the Republican Womens Committee and served as a Republican precinct committee chairperson in Butler County.
She was a secretary and bookkeepper for Worrell Auction and Real Estate in Leon.
Other survivors include sons, George Jr., Dent and John, all of Leon, Steve of Wichita, David of Andover; brothers, Robert Boley of Leon, John Boley of Derby and 11 grandchildren.

Claude Wise dies at 76
Claude E. Wise, 76, Augusta, died yesterday at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Brooks will officiate. A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Conway Springs cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
He was born July 24, 1909 in Conway Springs to John Wesley and Vergie Ida Martin Wise.
He was a retired Augusta High School teacher.
He was a Methodist and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Kiwanis and the Retired Teachers Association.
Survivors include sisters, Betty Jeter of Wichita and Marian Fuller of Elkhart.

Claude Wise died today
Claude Wise, a retired physics teacher in the Augusta school system, died today at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita. Wise had been in the hospital for foot surgery.
Arrangements were pending at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta early this afternoon.

Martha Kraft dies at 77
Martha Kraft, 77, Route 2, died Wednesday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Gaylen Burows will officiate. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Trego Cemetery in Trego Center.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
She was born Feb. 16, 1908 in Wakeeny to Henry and Marie Elizabeth Mickel Schneider.
She married John Kraft July 27, 1930 in Wakeeny. She survives.
She was a Luthern.
Other survivors include sons, Delbert Kraft of Tucumcari, N.M., Demar Kraft of Atlanta, Ga.; daughters, Karen Small, Augusta, Evelyn Carr, Los Alamos, N.M., Violet Mai of Russell, Ruby Allen of Albuquerque, N.M.; sisters, Emma Kraft of Ordway, Colo., Minnie Brown of Pueblo, Colo., Marie Guzick of St. Petersburg, Fla., Freida Pickering of St. Petersburg; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
