McKnight Dies At Home
Forest Harold McKnight, 82, Route 3, died yesterday at his home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Dunlap Cemetery.
He was bom Sept. 19, 1899 in Augusta to Claire and Carrie Learned McKnight.
He married Furl Kinion Oct. 1, 1924 in Torrington, Wyo. She preceded him in death in 1961.
He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include a son, Delmas McKnight of Rose Hill; a daughter, Linda Wise, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Tom McKnight, Mitchell, Neb.; two sisters, Lois McKnight, Port Au Prince, Haiti, and Ona Brasier, Augusta; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Eva Finical Dies At 72
Eva Irene Finical, 72, Wichita, sister of Maxine Goodwin of Augusta, died March 30. Her service will be at 10 a.m. April 6 at the DeVorss Mortuary. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. April 6 at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Parsons.
A memorial has been established with Central Christian Church in Wichita.
Other survivors include a sister, Marguerite Sage of Clewiston, Fla.

Frank Shirk Dies At 94
Frank Shirk, 94, formerly of Augusta, died Sunday, April 4, at the Wheatstate Manor nursing home.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, at the Lamb Mortuary chapel in Whitewater and burial in the Spillman Cemetery at Ash Grove, Kan.
A memorial to Wheatstate Manor has been suggested.
The retired pumper for Cities Service was born Aug. 10, 1887 in Lincoln County, Kan.
He married the former Rena Elizabeth Pearson on April 14, 1914. She died in 1967.
Shirk leaves a son, Jack of Augusta; three daughters, Cleta Fultz of Walnut, Betty Harvey of Benton, and Wanda Gates of El Dorado; a stepdaughter, Marjoria Hester of Wichita; a sister, Mrs. Essie Gambriel of Topeka; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Sister Dies In Kentucky
Margaret Graham, sister of Paul Scafe of Andover, died Sunday in Louisville, Ky.
Services will be at Pearson’s Mortuary in St. Matthews, Ky.
Besides a daughter and two sons, survivors also include two sisters, Clara Betebenner of Portland, Ore., and Mildred Guest of Wichita, and another brother, Eugene Scafe of Woodbury, N.J.

L. M. McPherron Dies At 73
Laura Mary McPherron, 75, Alvin, Texas, died at her home Saturday.
Her service was at 2:30 p.m. today at the Froberg Funeral Home in Alva. Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
She and her family were long time residents of Augusta.
She is survived by a son, Richard McPherron of Gainesville, Fla.; a daughter, Doris Cody, Alvin; a sister-in-law, Amelia Martin, Augusta; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Verner, and a son, Gene.
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements here.

Father Dies In Wichita
Leroy Cale Shinn, 46, Wichita, father of Rosemary Shinn of Augusta, died Tuesday.
His service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
Other survivors include his wife, Dixie Shinn, of the home; sons, Roy Shinn of Potwin, Frank Shinn and Jerry Shinn, both at home, Steve Shinn of Hennessey, Okla.; another daughter, Violet Shinn of El Dorado; his mother, Daisy Shinn of Quapaw, Okla.; brothers, Paul of Wichita,
Charles, Shinn and Jerry Shinn, both of Quapaw, Frank Shinn of Seneca, Mo., and sisters, Betty Soltenberg of Wichita and Joan Tetter of Wyandotte, Okla.
