Ruby Lusk Dies At 79
Ruby M. Lusk, 79, Sun City, Calif., sister of Donald Davis of Augusta, died Saturday, April 10.
A funeral service for the homemaker and retired school teacher will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Douglass United Methodist Church with Rev. John Martin officiating and burial in the Douglass cemetery.
She was born Dec. 21, 1903 at Glenarm, Ill., to Charles F. and Nancy E. Plummer Davis.
In July of 1931, she married C. Russell Lusk. He survives.
During her life, Mrs. Lusk taught school at Douglass, Rock and Arkansas City.
In addition to her husband and brother, she leaves a step-daughter, Berniece Seyb of Johnson; four other brothers, Rudy of Rock, Grant of Wichita, Gilbert of Winfield, and Howard of Douglass; a sister, Mrs. Fern Miller of Ellinwood and four step-grandchildren.
The Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home at Douglass is in charge of arrangements.

F. Hanshaw Dies At 67
Floyd Hanshaw, 67, Route 1, died yesterday afternoon.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Downing and Lahey Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. Gary Harms will officiate and burial will be in the Andover Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
He was bom Jan. 15, 1915 in Butler County to Oliver and Nora Nicholson Hanshaw.
He married Velma Winslow. She survives.
He was a retired Beech Aircraft employee.
Other survivors include a son, Gary Hanshaw of Andover; Marjorie Hromek of Augusta, Lorraine Moorefield, Wichita and Donna Pinkston of Andover; a brother, Earl Hanshaw of Augusta; sisters, Evangelenel Alliston of Fredonia arid Cecile Fitzgerald of Arkansas City, and 11 grandchildren.

Clara Stores Dies At 74
Clara Isabel Stores, 74, 1201 Money, died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Her service was at 2 p.m. today at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Harold Greer will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was bom March 24, 1908 in Fall River to Gevessie and Lula Miller Baker.
She married Maurice O. Stores. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Vess Earl Martin of Augusta, and John M. Martin of Denver, Colo.; a brother, L.G. Baker of Augusta; three sisters, Marion Watkins of Fredonia, Euphrates Hopper of Donovan, Mo., and Eva Powell of Augusta; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. An aunt, Fern Elliott of Augusta, also survives.

M.L. Franklin Dies At 88
Mildred Lucy Franklin, 88, Latham, died at her home April 12.
Her service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Burl Allison Jr., will officiate and burial will be in the Towanda Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 14, 1893 in Towanda to Charles and Lillie Wheeler Wait.
She married Charles A. Franklin Sept. 8, 1960 in Newkirk, Okla. He survives. She worked in a nursing home and was a Methodist.
Other survivors include two sons, Paul Ard of Phoenix, Ariz., and Bob Ard of Edna, Texas and a sister Ruth.

J.H. Lanier Dies At 86
Jessie Homer Lanier, 86, rural Douglass, died Tuesday at Newton Memorial Hospital.
His service will be at 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the Douglass United Methodist Church. Rev. John Martin will officiate and burial will be in the Wilmont Cemetery, southeast of Douglass.
A memorial has been established with the Kansas Arthritis Foundation.
He was bom July 23, 1895 in Douglass to Othah and Anna M. Volkman.
He married Iva Adams Aug. 18, 1943 in Winfield. She survives.
He was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Douglass.
Other survivors include a son, Irvin Lanier, Arlington Heights, Ill.; two daughters, Opal Harris of Udall and Norma Kunkel of Douglass; two stepdaughters, Hester Walley of Jacksonville, Texas and Lola Mae Hundley of Wichita; a brother, Emery Lanier of Winfield; a sister, Nellie Parry of Douglass; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Hilyard Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge.
