Peterman dies at AMCI
Joseph James Peterman, 80, 1210 Bobbie, died Sunday, Feb. 16, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, in the the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Robert Brooks will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born July 31, 1905 in Miami, Mo., to Sterling Price and Alma Bell Wheeler Peterman.
Peterman married Luzelle S. Sheriff April 16, 1927 in Wauseon, Ohio. She survives.
He was a retired salesman and a member of the United Methodist Church.
Other survivors include a son, Charles of Houston, Texas; a brother, Charles of Miami, Mo.; sisters, Albertina Kale of Paradise, Calif., Kaddy Whitten of Dallas, Texas, and Dorothy Shaw of Ennis, Texas, and three grandchildren.

Anna B. Yeager dies at hospital
Anna Bernice Yeager, 81, Douglass, died Saturday at a Winfield hospital.
Her funeral was at 10 o’clock this morning in the Smith Mortuary at Derby. Rev. Jim Reed officiated and burial was in the Rose Hill cemetery.
She was born New Year’s Day in 1905 at Derby to Lloyd Ellis and Jenny Webster Carr.
She married Kenneth E. Yeager. He preceded her in death in 1967.
Survivors include sons, Kenneth of Wichita, Donald of Derby and Joe of Kansas City, Mo.; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Genevieve Moore dies at 72
Genevieve Moore, 72, El Dorado, mother of Bill Moore of Leon, died Thursday, Feb. 13, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral was Monday in the Carlson Funeral Home at El Dorado. Rev. Mel Brown officiated and burial was in the Walnut Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in El Dorado.
She was born Jan. 12, 1914 in Clinton, Mo., to John and Elizabeth Lucas Hammond.
She married Walter Moore May 9, 1936 in Warrensburg, Mo. He preceded her in death in Sept. 21, 1974.
Other survivors include sons, Vernon of Benton, Manford, Dennis, both of El Dorado, Tom of Hennessey, Okla.; daughters, Wanda Martin of El Dorado, Elizabeth Jones of El Paso, Texas; sisters, Frances Ethredge, Alice Olson, Dorothy Hammond, all of Kansas City, Mo., Ina Swoope of Warrensburg; 23 grandchildren and 15 greatgrandchildren.

Fred Kepfield Jr. dies in Larned
Fred C. Kepfield Jr., 59, Larned, died at the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital there Tuesday.
A requim mass will be at 7:30 o’clock tonight at the Saints Mary and Martha of Bethany Episcopal Church in Lamed. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Morrell Funeral Home in Larned. Father James F. Graner will officiate. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home between until 9 o’clock tonight and from 9 to 10:30 a.m. tomorrow.
He was born Aug. 10, 1926 in Topeka to Fred C. and Ruth Barrett Kepfield.
He married Susan P. Miller Sept. 4, 1982 in Augusta. She survives.
He was a clinical social worker at Larned State Hospital. He served in the Marine Corps, during World War II. He was a member of Saits Mary and Marth of Bethany Episcopal Church in Lamed. He was also a member of the Lions Club and the Coin Club.
Other survivors include a stepchildren, Eric, Jeff and Jane Schwartzkopf of the home; sons, Fred III of Topeka, Sam of Manhattan and Barrett of Oshkosh, Wis.; mother, Mrs. Kepfield of Wichita; sisters, Mary Lou Malone of Reno, Nev., and Judith Reed of Wichita, and a grandchild.
Memorials may be made with the church.

‘Billie’ Allen dies in Wichita
Wilda “Billie” Allen, 72, Wichita, formerly of Augusta, died yesterday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. Jim Harrelson will officiate and burial will be in the Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
She was born April 25, 1913 in Geneseo to William and Emma Dwinnell Waber.
She married Carl Allen in 1935. He preceded her in death in 1970.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Lininger of Wichita; mother, Emma Banks of Wichita; brother, Fane Banks of Wichita; sisters, Mrs. J.D. Wright of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Norman Dow of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Jack Fulks of Yucaipa, Calif.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
