Rites Monday for Ruby McElroy
Ruby Viola McElroy, 74, 412 E. 15th Street, died yesterday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Axmann will officiate and burial will be in the Kuster Cemetery in Augusta.
A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church in Augusta.
She was born Jan. 22, 1912 in Douglass to Albert and Lou Etna Littell Harris.
She married Jack N. McElroy May 5, 1929 in Eureka. He preceded her in death in 1984.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a volunteer with the El Dorado Health Department Kansas Green Thumb organization volunteer.
Survivors include a son, David of Augusta; daughter, Victoria L. Guy of Augusta; brother, Frances Harris of Sedan; sisters, Alice Craft of Mulvane and Velma Howard of Augusta, and five grandchildren.

Harold E. Miller died Tuesday
Harold E. Miller, 78, Wichita, father of Marilyn Newlon of Augusta, died Tuesday at his home.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Goddard, Kan., United Methodist Church. Rev. John Sterling will officiate and burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Goddard.
A memorial has been establshed with Youthville in Newton.
He was born Dec. 11, 1907 in Sedgwick County.
He was a farmer.
Other survivors include sons, Charles of Turon, Gene of Minneapolis, Minn., Ed of Pierce City, Mo.; daughters, Trudy Miller of Walsh, Colo., Louise Cook of LaSelva Beach, Calif.; brother, Francis of Fallbrook, Calif.; sisters, Josephine Jones of Sun City, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Stella Davis dies in Leon
Stella Davis, 77, Leon, died today at her daughter’s home in Leon.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. Victor Elliott will officiate and burial will be in the Leon, Kan., cemetery.
She was born Dec. 28, 1908 in Leon to John and Sophia Clark Palmer.
She married Lester L. Davis Nov. 4, 1928 in Leon. He preceded her in death in 1978.
She attended the Assembly of God Church in El Dorado.
Survivors include sons, Robert of Memphis, Tenn., Billy and Gilbert, both of Leon; daughters, Buella Guy of Leon, Violet Wintermote of El Dorado and Annabelle Sipe of Jarosa, Colo.; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Fred M. Henderson dies in El Dorado
Fred M. Henderson, 83, El Dorado, father of Connie Nichols of Augusta, died today at his home.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Carlson Funeral in El Dorado. Rev. Randy Gauger will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado.
A memorial has been established with the deacon’s fund at the El Dorado First Baptist Church.
He was born Feb. 20, 1903 in Lead Mine, Mo., to John and Lillie Barnhart Henderson.
He married Lula Mae Goodin May 9, 1929 in Shamrock, Okla. She survives.
He was a retired oil field technician.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in El Dorado.
Other survivors include son, Bill of Stockton, Mo., Bob of Wichita, Fred “Pete” of El Dorado; daughters, Nelda McClure of Latham, Linda Davis of El Dorado; brothers, J.R. of Buffalo, Mo., Eddy of Tulsa, Okla.; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

‘Frank’ Donham dies at 66
James Franklyn “Frank”
Donham, 66, Lafayette, La., formerly of Augusta, died Thursday.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers, Lafayette,
La.
Memorials have been established with the Hospice of Acadiana, and the Shriners’
Hospital for Crippled Children, in care of the Delhomme Funeral Home in Lafayette, La.
He was a petroleum engineer.
Survivors include his wife,
Betty; sons, James of Gretna, La.,
Mark of Morgan City, La.; daughters, Dianne Chehardy of French Settlement, La., 1st. Lt.
Kay Donham of DeRidder, La.; mother, Cecil M. Donham of McPherson; brothers, Bruce of Euless, Texas, Keith of McPherson, Gene of Ardmore, Okla.; sisters, Phyllis Smith of LaHavre,
Calif., Radean Nordstrom of McPherson, Karen Wolf of McPherson, Mona Haden of Colorado Springs, Colo., Iris Brewer of Fresno, Calif., and two grandchildren.

Osa M. Gardner dies at AMCI
Osa M. Gardner, 81, 620 Osage, died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Bill Buggeln will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 25, 1904 in Missouri to Claud and Rosetta Nelson Johnson.
She married Ernest V. Gardner June 8, 1923 in Fredonia. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include daughters,
Helen Spivey of Towanda, Doris Shryock and Innes Wike, both of Augusta, and Bernice Carriger of Ft. Scott; brothers, William Johnson of Salem, Ore., Eunice Fries of Tillammok, Wash., Carmen Freeman of Las Vegas, Neb.; 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
A sister preceded her in death.
