Man found in garage
Bryan M. McLinden, 28, 402 W. Kansas, died last night at his home.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado.
Local authorities found McLinden's body in a vehicle parked inside the garage at the West Kansas address after relatives reported he was long overdue at his father’s home in El Dorado.
No foul play was suspected in the death by apparent asphyxiation.
A memorial has been established with Butler County Community College for athletic scholarships.
He was born June 8, 1957 in El Dorado to Ed and Norma Wiebrecht McLinden.
He was an industrial engineer with Boeing Military Aircraft Co. in Wichita for six years.
He graduated from El Dorado High School in 1975. In 1979 he received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Wichita State University.
McLinden was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, the El Dorado Health Club, and the Boeing Activities Center. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, softball and racketball.
Survivors include a son, Jarrod Michael McLinden of Wichita; his parents, Ed and Norma McLinden of El Dorado; a twin brother, Brad McLinden of El Dorado; a sister, Kathleen Mess-man of Lee’s Summitt, Mo., and a grandmother, Katherine Wiebrecht of Strong City.

Helen Michaelson died today in Texas
Helen Wise Michaelson, 65, Duncanville, Texas, formerly of Augusta, died today at the Methodist Central Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Jon Grisson will officiate and burial will be in
Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association, 2312 E. Central, Wichita, Kan., 67214.
She was born Jan. 28, 1921 in Horton to F. Hugh and Grace Pearl Watson Davison.
She was the former owner of Snip N Curl Beauty Shop here.
Survivors include a son, Jim of Duncanville, Texas; daughters, Ruth Morris of Duncanville, and Rosalind Davis of Roach, Mo.; brother, Otis Davison and sister, Ruth Werries, both of Augusta; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Cordelia Holmes died Wednesday
Cordelia Holmes, 70, Olathe, aunt of Dixie Bratton of Augusta, died last night in St. Luke s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
Her funeral will be Sunday in DeValls Bluff, Ark.
She was a former Augusta
resident.
Westbrooke Funeral Home in Hazen, Ark., is in charge of arrangements.

Claude Miller dies in Wichita
Claude N. Miller, 70, Douglass, died Wednesday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Douglass Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association.
He was born July 23, 1915 in Minburn, Iowa, to Charles Edward and Bessie Pearl McVey Miller.
He married Viola Elizabeth Hale Oct. 25, 1934 in Adel, Iowa. She survives.
He was a retired plumber. He was a member of the American Legion and served in the Marines.
Other survivors include sons, Ed of Hudson, Art of Douglass, Bob of El Dorado and Danny of Douglass; a daughter, Claudia Whetsone of Ellinwood; a sister, Evelyn Hudson of Mulvane; 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge of
arrangements.

church. Monsignor Charles Walsh will officiate and burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Strong City.
