E.M. Linsenmayer dies in McPherson
Edith M. Linsenmayer, 92, McPherson, mother of Marcella Drouillard of Augusta, died Thursday at a nursing home.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Ball & Son Funeral Home in McPherson. Rev. Harold E. Nelson will officiate and burial will be in the McPherson Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with Cedars Nursing Home in McPherson.
She was born June 1, 1894 in McPherson to Oscar and Jennie Davis Brown.
She married Walter Linsenmayer Nov. 17, 1915 in Canton.
He survives.
Other survivors include a son, Walter Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughters, Eva Sweeney of Mountain Home, Ark., Venetta Nutter of Wichita; three grand-chidlren and five great-grandchildren.
Charles Buggeln died yesterday
Charles W. Buggeln, 64, Hutchinson, father of Charles W. “Bill” Buggeln of Augusta, died yesterday in a motorcycle-truck accident near Cairo, Neb.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Elliott Chapel in Hutchinson. Burial will be in the Hunstville Cemetery near Hutchinson.
He was born Nov. 29, 1921 in Sylvia to Charles and Ethel Brown Buggeln.
He married Lois I. Luman June 7, 1942 in Hutchinson. She survives.
He was a retired supervisor for the Cessna Fluid Power Division in Hutchinson.
He was a member of the East-wood Church of Christ in Hutchinson. He served in the Army during World War EL
Survivors also include another son, Bobby of Cairo, Neb.; brother, Kenneth F. and sisters, Frankie Widup, Darlene Leitzel and Maurine Pierson, all of Hutchinson, and Dixie Schoepf of Haven, and seven grandchildren.
The Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson is in charge of arrangements.

Horse drags Burns girl to her death

A 7-year-old girl died after a horse became spooked and dragged her for about a half mile yesterday evening.
Sheriffs captain Larry Cody identified the victim as Jolene Marie Wiebe of rural Bums.
She was taken by private vehicle to a Newton hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The victim’s 12-year-old brother was riding the horse, according to Cody. The sheriff's office said the rider roped his sister, the horse became spooked and threw the rider off. The rope was attached to the saddle and the girl was dragged about a half mile.
The incident occurred near the family home about 5 p.m. Sunday.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Emmaus Mennonite Church in rural Whitewater. Rev. Rodney Crowell will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Jolene Marie would have been a second grader at Burns Elementary School.
A memorial has been established with Berean Academy in Elbing.
She was born Sept. 21, 1978 in Newton to Theodore and Nancy Johnson Wiebe.
Besides her parents, other survivors include brothers, Shawn and Todd, both of home; a sister, Sonya, of the home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Wiebe of Bums and Mr. and Mrs. John Johnson of Whitelake, S.D.; great-grandmothers, Anna Wiebe of Elbing, Esther Kniggle of Whitelake.
The Lamb Mortuary in Whitewater is in charge of arrangements.
Opal K. Holland dies in Topeka
Opal K. Holland, 55, Topeka, formerly of Augusta, died Saturday in a Topeka nursing home.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Parker-Price Funeral Home in Topeka. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Forrest Hills Cemetery in Little Rock, Ark.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home between 7 and 8 tonight.
She was born June 10, 1931 in Dartnell, Ark., to Jack and Eddith Wortham Kirkland.
She married Duff Holland Aug. 14, 1953 in Beebe, Ark. He preceded her in death Oct. 2, 1970.
She lived in Augusta from 1970 to 1977 and owned a fabric shop in the 500 block of State Street. She moved to Topeka in 1977.
Survivors include her mother, Eddith Kirkland of Wichita; a daughter, Judy Holland Daniels of Houston, Texas; sons, Dan Holland of Topeka and Ken Holland of Wichita.; brothers, Leon Kirkland of Branson, Mo., Tom Kirkland of Wichita, Jake Kirkland of Valley Center, Ray Kirkloan and Don Kirkland, both of Harrison, Ark.; sisters, Kathy Hutcheson of Topeka and Ann Newsom of Topeka; seven grandchildren.
A granddaughter, Crystal Lea Holland, also preceded her in death.
A memorial has been established with the Multiple Sclerosis Chapter, 4015 S.W. 21st Street, Topeka, Kan. 66612.
