L.G. ‘Gib’ Henry died Saturday
Lawrence Gilbert “Gib” Henry, 91, Andover, died Saturday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Robert McGuire will officiate and burial will be in the Andover Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 15, 1894 in Caywood, Mo., to James Stephen and Louisa Ellen Alexander Henry.
He married Esther VanMetre Sept. 10, 1922 in Liberal. She
survives.
He was a retired sheet metal inspector at Boeing Military Aircraft Co. in Wichita.
He was a member of the American Legion.
Other survivors include sons, Laurel Gilbert of Kent, Wash., and Dale Gilbert of Iowa City, Iowa; sister, Ruby Stephenson of Ordway, Colo.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A sister, Betty Louise Goodner, preceded him in death.

Weldon Littell died Thursday
Weldon H. Littell, 77, Rolla, father of James Littell of Augusta, died Thursday.
His funeral was at 2:30 p.m. yesteday.
Memorials have beene stablished with the American Cancer Society and Hospice of Wichita.
He was a retired insurance agent.
Other survivors include a wife, Laura; sons, Allen of Rolla, Ramon of Gainesville, Fla., Dean of Newton, Dan of Naperville, Ill.; brother, Art of Wichita; sister, Audrey Ronchetto of California, and 13 grandchildren.

Leonard Mercer died Saturday
Leonard R. Mercer, 81, Wichita, father of June Kittle of Douglass, died Saturday at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Mission Meditation Chapel at Mission Chapel Mausoleum in Wichita. Rev. Dan Ferguson will officiate.
He was born June 30, 1905 in Ohio to Shebner A. and Orpha Belle Kintigh Mercer o
He married Jo Rains. She survives.
He was a retired Cessna Aircraft Co. factory superintendent.
Other survivors include sons, Roy at home, George of Wichita; brother, R.H. of San Antonio, Texas; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

John ‘Woody’ Noel died Monday at 69
John G “Woody” Noel. 69, 1201 Money, died Monday at his home.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Quiring-Old Mission Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. Jon Grisson will officiate and burial will be in the Old Mission Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 19, 1916 in Arkansas to John G. and Lenna Graven Noel.
He was a retired production planner for Beech Aircraft Co. in Wichita.
Survivors include sons, Jerry of Augusta, Jim of Derby; daughters, Kay Hoover of Jacksonville, Fla., Fran Noel Chase of Barboursville, W.Va.; a brother, Willis of Silom Springs, Ark.; sisters, Audrey Noel of Wichta, Shirley Walker of Annandale, Va.; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside rites for D.W. Drouillard
Dennis Wayne Drouillard, 49, Albuquerque, N.M., brother of Carl Drouillard and son of Nora McCoy of Augusta, died yesterday at an Albuquerque hospital.
A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Burl Allison Jr. will officiate.
He was born Dec. 10, 1936 in McPherson to Joe S. and Nora Gilliam Drouillard.
He married Janet Shultz Jan. 13, 1961 in Manhattan. She survives.
He was in the civil service and worked as an engineer with the Air Force.
Other survivors include a son, Jeff of Manhattan and a daughter, Rise Riemer of Orlando, Fla.
Two brothers, Joe and Roy, preceded him in death.

Cecil Widick dies in Wichita
Cecil Widick, 86, Benton, father of Celia Penner of Douglass, died yesterday at the a Wichita health care center.
His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Burial will be in the Benton Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 8, 1899 in Benton to Ezra and Iva Wallace Widick.
He married Bertha Nye Nov. 18, 1920. She survives.
He was a retired carpenter and water driller. He was a lifelong resident of the Benton area.
Other survivors include a son, Bud of Valley Center; daughters, Luetta Haas of Benton, Leitta Gragg of Valley Center; a brother, Bill of McLeansboro, Ill.; a sister, Luella Hall of Santa Anna, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
