Ruby Lackey died today
Ruby Venus Lackey, 72, 205 Clark, died today at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Axmann will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Dialaysis Association, 1035 N. Emporia, Wichita, Kan., 67214.
She was born Nov. 22, 1913 in Camden, Mo., to William Steve and Cora Belle Jones Woolery.
She married Floyd Eddie Lackey July 2, 1929 in El Dorado. He
preceded her in death May 21, 1977.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and Rebekahs.
Survivors include a son, William of Beaumont, Texas; daughters, Karen Moore, Jannie Flores and Shirley Baxter, all of Augusta; a half brother, Jerry Mullins of Augusta; half sisters, Marie Lane and Betty Shirley, both of Augusta, and nine grandchildren.
A son, Henry Eugene Lackey; a brother, Stanley Woolery; two half brothers, Thomas and Roy and two half sisters, Edith and Ethel, also preceded her in death.
Fred L. Fooshee died in Wichita
Fred Leroy Fooshee, 86, rural Wichita, father of Anita L. Cheatam of Augusta, died today at his home.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Pastor Richard Orr, associate pastor of the True Church of the First Born of Wichita will officiate and burial will be in the Dunlap Cemetery.
He was born June 24, 1900 in Oklahoma to Walter and Winnie G. Clodfelter Fooshee.
He married Charlotte Lunnam Oct. 12, 1943. She survives.
He was a retired self-employeed paper hanger and painter.
Other survivors include a son, Arthur of Wichita; another daughter, Lorita A. Law of Winfield; brothers, Virgil of
Wichita, Ralph of Cheney and Warren of Bartlesville, Okla.; sisters, Irene Johnson and Ruth Freeman, both of Wichita; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Rogene Guy died Sunday
Rogene Guy, 64, Leon, died Sunday at the McConnell Air Force Base Hospital in Wichita.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Leon Baptist Church. Rev. Chester Bodenhamer will officate and burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
She was born July 3, 1922 in Leon to Frank and Norene West Tatum.
She married Junior Guy Aug. 4, 1962 in Augusta. He preceded her in death July 1, 1979.
She was a lifelong Leon resident. She was a member of the Leon Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star..
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce McCray of Widor, Texas; brother, Harold J. Tatum of El Dorado; sister, Betty L. White of Emporia; five grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Kirby Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado is in charge of arrangements.

Frank C. Barrett dies in El Dorado
Frank C. Barrett, 78, El Dorado, brother of Marie Hurlburt of Augusta, died Monday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sunset Lawn Cemetery in El Dorado. Rev. Letha Wood will officiate.
A memorial has been established with Knutson Manor Nursing Home in El Dorado.
He was born Oct. 24, 1907 in El Dorado to Maynard and Nora Parker Barrett.
He was a retired farmer and stockman.
Other survivors include three nephews and three nieces.
Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado is in charge of arrangements.

Maxine Bird rites tomorrow
Maxine Bird, 75, Andover, mother of Raymond Bird and Donna Simon of Augusta, died yesterday at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Downing & Lahey Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. Burl Allison Jr. will officiate and burial will be in the Seltzer Cemetery in rural Wichita.
She was born July 29, 1910 in Lincolnville to Oliver and Stella Heskett Fick.
She married Herman Bird. He preceded her in death in 1978.
Survivors also include another son, Gary of Newton; daughters, Phyllis Bird and Geneva Collins, both of Andover and Shirley Pier-point of Wichta; brothers, Paul Fick of Elk City and Merle Fick of Toronto; a sister, Erma DeMoss of Benton, and seven grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association.
