Nancy Shrum died Monday
Nancy Shrum, Huntsville, Ark., sister of Mabel Elder of Augusta, died Monday at her home in Arkansas.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
Mrs. Shrum was born in Augusta to Pearl and Albert Burris.
She married Elisha Shrum in May of 1929. He survives.
They lived in Oregon before until his retirement.
Other survivors include a daughter, three sons and several grandchildren.

Dr. Curtis Wolf died Monday at 49
Dr. Curtis V. Wolf, 49, Lyons, son of Milton R. Wolf of Augusta, died Monday at his home.
His funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lyons Church of Christ. Jerry Veatch will officiate and burial will be in the Lyons Municipal Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with Dr. Curtis V. Wolf Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Lyons State Bank, Lyons, Kan., 67554.
He was born April 15, 1937 in Wichita to Milton R. and Ethel Smart Wolf.
He married Margaret McCurry July 18, 1958 in Wichita. She survives.
Dr. Wolf was a general practicioner and director of the Rice County Emergency Medical Service. He was past president of the Lyons Rotary and a Lyons Good Samaritan board member, and the Rice County Emergency Medical Service Director.
Other survivors include sons, Brute of Oklahoma City, Okla., Milton II at home; daughters, Jennifer Williams of Abilene, Texas, Sara at home; mother, Ethel of Wichita; brothers, Marine of Derby, Noble of Burns, Carmen of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Milton of Augusta.

Clyde V. Lassmann died in Wichita
Clyde V. Lassmann, 67, rural Towanda, died yesterday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Christ Lutheran Church. Pastor Gaylen Burow will officiate and burial will be in the White Chapel Cemetery in Wichita.
He was born Nov. 5, 1918 in Savonburg to Fred J. and Mary Pearl Baker Lassmann.
He married Virginia May Garnett Aug. 17, 1940 in Humbolt. She survives.
He was a retired engineer at Beech Aircraft Co. in Wichita. He was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church.
Other survivors include sons, Frank of the home, Fred of Augusta; brothers, Rev. Lonnie Lassman of Duluth, Minn., Ralph of Topeka, Clarence of Wichita, Robert of Chanute, Alvin and Fred, both of Humbolt; sisters, Betty Freede of Ashtabula, Ohio
and Helen Sowell of Wichita, and a granddaughter, Angelic Lassmann of Augusta.
An infant son and two brothers, Lloy and Ernest, preceded him in death.
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ruth Brown died yesterday
Ruth Brown, 74, Silverdale, Wash., formerly of Augusta, died yesterday at a hospital in Silverdale.
There will be a memorial service at the Silverdale Lutheran
Church.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs, H.P. Poorbaugh of rural Towanda. She lived in the Augusta area and attended Augusta High School.
She married Ray L. Brown. He survives.
The couple lived in Silverdale about 50 years.
Other survivors include stepdaughters, Jean Bunn of Olympia, Wash., and Ann Belcher of Bremerton, Wash., and a sister, Mrs. Russell (Sarah) Larson of Augusta.
Lloyd Smith died Wednesday at 69
Lloyd Smith, 69, Derby, co-owner of the Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass, died Wednesday at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Woodlawn United Methodist Church in Derby. Rev. Jim Reed and Rev. Mike Marion will officiate and burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Wesley Medical Center Oncology Unit and the Douglass United Methodist Church.
He was born May 2, 1917 in Gage, Okla., to William C. and
Coila Tillotson Smith.
He married Esther Roberts. She survives.
Mr. Smith had been a funeral director in Douglass since 1972. He was a former Douglass City Councilman and past chairman of the Douglass Planning Commission. He was past president of the Butler County Shrine Club. He was a member of the American Legion, the Midian Shrine, the Douglass Masonic Lodge AF&AM 151, Wichita York Rite and the Wichita Consistory.
Other survivors include a son, Bill of Derby; brothers, Verne of Littleton, Colo., Austin of Wichita and Virgil of Douglass and two grandchildren. ‘

Olave S. Piper, 94, rural Douglass, died Friday at his residence.
There will a private funeral service.
He was born Oct. 30, 1891 in Kansas to William W. and Flora Piper.
He was a retired farmer and rancher.
Survivors include a stepson, Eugene S. Bush of Wichita Falls, Texas; stepdaughters, Roberta Galbraith of Wichita, Elizabeth Hoenig of Denver, Colo.; a niece; two grandnieces, and a grandnephew.
Quiring Old Mission Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
