Sister Dies In Newton
Eleanor N. Stahl, 51, Newton, sister of Clarence Rose of Douglass, died April 28 at Axtell Christian Hospital in Newton.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Newton. Rev. Fred H. Spinder will officiate and burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
She was born June 22, 1930 in Newton to Len and Rosella Kauth Rose.
She married Carl Stahl Oct. 8, 1954 in Newton. He survives.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Newton.
Survivors include three other brothers, Alvin Rose of Seattle, Wash., Carlton Rose of Newton and James W. Rose of Milwaukee, Wis.; a sister, Lois I. Behymer of Sunnyvale, Calif.
A son, Larry Stahl, preceded her in death in 1978.
Peterson Funeral Home is in charge.

Norman G. Duncan Dies At Joplin, Mo.
Norman Gene Duncan of Grove, Okla., brother of Johnnie and Bill Duncan of Augusta, died Wednesday afternoon at a Joplin, Mo., hospital.
His funeral arrangements were pending this morning.

Brother Dies In Missouri
Norman Gene Duncan, 53, Grove, Okla., brother of Bill Duncan and Johnnie Duncan of Augusta, died April 28 in a Joplin, Mo., hospital.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Grove. Burial will be in the Buzzard Cemetery in Grove.
He was bom Sept. 4, 1928 in Emporia to John and Ethel Hoobler Duncan.
He was employed by Monarch Life Insurance Co., and was a World War II veteran.
Other survivors include his wife, Joretta Duncan; a son, David Duncan, both of the home; two daughters, Esther Duncan of Fayetteville, Ark.,

Lucille Smith
Lucille Brown Smith, 69, Wichita, mother-in-law of Larry Wilkerson, Augusta Medical Complex administrator, died Wednesday at her home.
Her service was at 2 p.m. today at the DeVorss Mortuary in Wichita. Burial was in the Wichita Park Cemetery.
She was bom March 20, 1913 in Amstead, N.M. to C.C. and Minnie Brandenberg Brown.

‘Rusty’ Langley, Ex-AMCI Chief, Died April 26
George A. “Rusty” Langley, 57, Peoria, Ill., died Monday, April 26, at a Topeka hospital.
The former administrator of Augusta Medical Complex was cremated and a memorial service was held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Peoria. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
He was bom Jan. 12, 1925 at Ottawa, Kan. He graduated from the College of Emporia and was an army veteran of World War II.
He married the former Petericia Dawson Nov. 1, 1946 at Cottonwood Falls.
Survivors include his wife, three sons, his father, a sister, two brothers and two grandsons.
The family home is at 4010 N. War Memorial, Apt. 405, Peoria, Ill., 61614.

E.E. Beye Dies At 64
Ernest Elmer Beye, 64, Edna, father of Virginia Kuntz of Augusta, died May 2 at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Dunlap Cemetery of rural Augusta.
He was bom Nov. 8, 1917 in Butler County to Franklin and Kelly Amanda Holt Beye.
He married Zerita Marie Stice Oct. 18, 1939 in Augusta. She survives.
He was a general laborer.
Other survivors include sons, Eldon Beye of Whitewater, Glenn Beye of Edna, David Beye. Clyde Beye and Melvin Beye, all of Cherryvale, and Arthur Beye with the U.S. Marines in Belgrade, Yugoslavia; daughters, Stella Marie Miller of Whitewater, Mildred White of Cherryvale and Melba Spaht of Eureka; brothers, Leo Beye of Augusta and Walter Beye of Herington; sisters, Dorothy Garfield, Augusta, Henrietta Buras, Roaring River, Mo.; 24 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
A brother, sister, three half sisters and a grandson preceded him in death.
and Chris Malloy of West Berlin, Germany; another brother, Leonard Duncan of Springfield, Mo., and two grandchildren.
