Cora May Smith died in Wichita
Cora May Smith, 90, Wichita, died yesterday at a Wichita nursing home.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the DeVorss Mortuary Chapel in Wichita. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Fredonia, Kan., cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the First Church of the Nazarene in Wichita.
She was born May 9, 1896 in Ames to Louis and Alice Woodruff.
She was a retired school teacher.
Other survivors include sons, Wilbur of Goddard and Wallace of Arkansas City; daughters, Wilma Thompson of Olathe, Wanda Jackson of Wichita, and Winifred Land of Broken Arrow, Okla.; brother, James Woodruff of Salina; a sister, Esther Newhall of Salina; 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Ex-Leon resident dies in Florida
Edna Moen, 93, Rockledge, Fla., formerly of Leon, died Tuesday at a medical center in Rockledge.
There will be a graveside service at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Leon Cemetery.
She was born July 6, 1893 in Butler County to J.C. and Henrietta Serber Asmussen.
She married Clayton Moen in 1928 in Wichita.
The Moens moved from Leon to Melbourne, Fla., in 1971. She was a member of the Leon United Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge in Leon.
Survivors include her husband, Clayton of Melbourne, Fla.; sons, Virgil of Eastland, Texas, Chester of Hiwasse, Ark., Eldon of Satellite Beach, Fla.; daughter, Cora Muth of Salida, Colo; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Leon United Methodist Church.
Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado is in charge of arrangements.

Rountree infant died Saturday
The infant son of Kim and Betsy Porter Rountree, Route 2, died Saturday, Dec. 28, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
There was a private funeral service today.
Other survivors include grandparents, Bob and Thelma Rountree of Augusta and Jim and Kay Porter of Springfield, Mo.
The Dunsford Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pauline C. Smith rites yesterday
Funeral services for Pauline Clare Smith, 84, Douglass, were at 2 p.m. yesterday at the Douglass United Methodist Church. Rev. Dan Ferguson officiated and burial was in the Douglass Cemetery.
She died Dec. 24 at the Augusta Medical Complex.
She was born Dec. 29, 1901 in Udall to Alvin and Edna Jacobus Hartenbower.
She married Denzil Smith. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Smith was a member of the Douglass United Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons, Lee of Wichita and John of Lamar, Colo.; daughters, Jean Weaver of Douglass, Roberta White of Columbia, Md., and Katherine Mauk of Wichita; a sister, Alvine Lentz of Albuquerque, N.M.; a brother, Dr. Carey Hartenbower of Peterborourgh, Ontario, Canada; 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Douglass United Methodist Church.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass was in charge of arrangements.
Victoria Sanders dies in Wichita
Retired teacher Victoria V. Sanders, 74, Wichita, mother of Ben Sanders of Douglass, died Saturday, Dec. 27, at a Wichita hospital.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Thompson-Harp Funeral Home at Marion. Father Gerald Pathe will officiate and burial will be in the Marion cemetery.
She was born July 21, 1912 in Marion County to Rudolph and Julia Urbanek Knybel.
She married Mart B. Sanders. He preceded her in death in 1962.
She was a retired school teacher.
Other survivors include a daughter, Verna M. Sanders of Wichita; a sister, Elizabeth Unruh of Wichita and a grandchild.
Thomas R. Boone died on Friday
Retired mechanic Thomas Ray Boone, 89, Wichita, brother of Ruby Boucher of Augusta, died Friday, Dec. 26, at a Wichita nursing home.
A graveside service was at 2 o’clock this afternoon in the Sunset Lawn Cemetery at El Dorado. Rev. Wayne Sharp officiated.
Boone was born Feb. 29, 1897 in Butler County to Thomas Clark and Laura Ann Ray Boone.
He married Verna Crowley. She preceded him in death.
He was a retired Martin Motor Co. mechanic.
Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado was in charge of arrangements.
