Lois McCombs Dies At 64
Lois Lavell McCombs, 64, rural Augusta, died Thursday at the Susan B. Allen hospital in El Dorado.
Her service will be Monday at the Whisenhunt Funeral Home in Tulsa, Okla.
McCombs was bom on Jan. 6, 1918 in Darnell. Ark. She has lived in Augusta since 1969.
She is survived by two other daughters, Louise Arnold of Wichita and Kay Justice of Healsburg. Calif.; a sister, Lola McCombs; three brothers, Lonnie, Lloyd and Howard Furr and her mother, Dora Furr, all of Tulsa. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther McCombs, and a son, L.B. McCombs.

C.E. Bedigrew Dies At 69
Cecil Eugene Bedigrew, 69, Alamogordo, N.M., father of Cecil Bedigrew Jr., and Cecilia Huddleston, both of Augusta, died May 5 in Alamogordo.
Graveside services will be May 8 at the Elmwood Cemetery. Phil McCormick will officiate.
He was bom Aug. 27, 1912 in Lisco, Neb., to Frank and Flossie Barrett Bedigrew.
He married Gladys Laramore Aug. 2, 1942 in Pratt. She survives.
He was a postal clerk and a member of the Christian Church. He served in the military during World War II. Other survivors include a daughter, Debra Krack of Winfield; a brother, Floyd Bedigrew of Toronto; a sister, Inez Henson of Yates Center and four grandchildren.

Father Dies In Winfield
Gean J. Williams, 65, father of Mary Clark of Augusta, died May 5 at a Winfield hospital.
Services were at 2 p.m. today at Miles Memorial Chapel in Winfield. Rev. David Ragsdale officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery at Winfield.
A memorial has been established with the Kansas Kidney Foundation.
He was born May 19., 1916 in Alamosa, Colo., to Jimmy J. and Ethel Chandler Williams.
He married Maxine L. Smith on June 5, 1970. She survives.
He was a retired farm and construction laborer.
Other survivors include a son, George Williams of Valley Center; a stepdaughter, Denzil Trent of Arkansas City; a stepsister, Rosetta Dowler of Winfield; a half sister, Ellen Francis Beebe of El Reno, Okla.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Brother Dies In Texas
John W. Keely, 84, Winfield, brother of Elda Rumps of Augusta, died Thursday at a Pecos, Texas, hospital.
today at Miles Memorial Chapel in Winfield. Rev. Karl Magnusson officiated and burial was in Highland Cemetery in Winfield.
He was bom Feb. 23, 1898 near Udall to Sidney and Ollie Wilson Keely.
He married Nannie Hall March 30, 1919 in Rock. She preceded him in death in January of 1979.
He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include three sons, Marvin Keely of Winfield, Gene Keely of Pecos, Merlin Keely of Wichita; two brothers, Paul Keely and Wayne Keely, both of Udall; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

H.J. Jasper Dies At 86
Herman Jackson Jasper, 86, Route 2, died Saturday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Amos Williams will officiate and burial will be in the Kuster Cemetery.
He was born Nov. 25, 1895 in Buffalo, Mo., to Mr. and Mrs. Will Jasper.

F.R. Collins Dies At 82
Fred Ross Collins, 82, rural Leon, died Saturday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Bacon will officiate and burial will be in the Brownlow Cemetery in rural Leon.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
He was born Oct. 30, 1899 in Carmel, Ind, to Frank and Minerva Garnett Collins.

Graveside Rites
Graveside services for Ruby M. Fisher were today in Argonia.
She was a former Augustan. LSurvivers include a son, Woody W. Fisher, and a grandson, Robert D. Fisher, both of Denver, Colo.
