Chris Thomas died at AMCI
Sylvia Christine "Chris” Thomas, 69, 528 E. 14th Street, died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral home in Augusta. Rev. Burl Allison Jr. will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 8, 1914 in Grove, Okla., to John and Anna Mae Seaburn Chrisman.
She married Bert Thomas in El Dorado on July 21, 1936. He survives.
Mrs. Thomas was the former co-owner of 54 Lunch.
Other survivors include a daughter, Barbara Hooper of Augusta; sisters, Dovie Pauline Shoup, Marjorie Kirkpatrick and Darlene Lackey, all of Augusta, and two grandchildren, Christy and Scott Harper of Augusta.
A son, Robert Allen Thomas, preceded her in death.

Daisy B. Bush died Wednesday
Daisy Belle Bush, 78, 1515 Clubhouse Drive, died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born April 28, 1908.
She married Gerald M. Williams who preceded her in death in 1973.
She married Forrest Bush. He survives.
Other survivors include a step-daughter, Vicki Hill of Madison, Wis.; a sister, Jody Sickbert of Ouray, Colo., and two grandchildren.

Ernest Clark died Wednesday
Ernest Clark, 70, Wichita, brother of Bess Webb of Augusta, died Wednesday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Byrd-Snodgrass Chapel in Wichita. Dr. David W. Bishop will officiate.
Memorials have been established with the Kansas Humane Society and American Lung Association.
He was born March 12,1916 in Anna to Jessie and Margaret Torbett Clark.
He married Virginia L. Rork July 5, 1941 in Girard. She survives.
Mr. Clark was a retired Beech Air Craft Co. employee.
Other survivors include sons, Doug Clark of St. Joseph, Mo., and Greg Roembach-Clark of Topeka and five granchildren.

Memorial rites will be Monday for Father Cushing
Father David Cushing, 56, died yesterday in the Holy Cross Church in Hutchinson.
Father Cushing will lie in state at the library of the Holy Cross Church from 3 p.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday The scriptural rosary will be at 6 p.m. Sunday in the church. There will be a wake at 7 p.m.
The mass of the resurection will be at noon Monday. Bishop Eugene J. Gerber will preside and the priests of the diocese will concelebrate. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson.
A memorial has been established with the Wichita Diocesan Priest Retirement Fund.
There will be a memorial service at St. James Church, 817 State Street at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Father Thomas Stroot will officiate.
JoAnn Albright of Towanda and a close friend of Father Cushing encourages everyone who knew the priest to attend the memorial service.
