Sarah V. Crabtree funeral on Monday
Sarah Viola Crabtree, 80, Route 2, died today at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Southern Baptist Church. Rev. George Goudie will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the First Southern Baptist Church.
She was born Aug. 22, 1906 in Leon to Samuel H. and Mary Elizabeth Salvage Bowyer.
She married Wesley Earl Manning Nov. 18, 1925 in Winfield. He preceded her in death.
She married Edward Ray Crabtree Sept. 12, 1952. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Crabtree was raised in the Bloomington area until her parents moved to Augusta in the early 1920’s. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Wanda Maggard of Augusta and Ruth Reisch of Hermiston, Ore.; eight grandchildren including David Maggard of Augusta and 18 great-grandchildren including Melody of Augusta.
A brother, Clem, preceded her in death.
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

L.W. ‘Bill’ Darnold dies in hospital
Lawrence W. “Bill" Darnold, 84, El Dorado, brother of Mae LeSuer of Augusta, died yesterday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Carlson’s Colonial Chapel. Rev. Hank Demous will officiate and burial will be in the Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
He was born Feb. 14, 1902 in Flat Rock, Ill., to Tom and Fanny Dunlap Darnold.
He married Marion Scott on June 14, 1921 in El Dorado. She survives.
Mr. Darnold was a retired driller and foreman for Gulf Oil Company. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Patmos Lodge 97 and the Wichita Consistory.
Other survivors include daughters, Barbara Hanney of Wichita, Peggy Blanchard of Dallas, Texas, and Mary Alice Miller of El Dorado; brothers, Verba of Littleton, Colo., Nelson of Houston, Texas; sister, Wanda Botkin of Trinity, Texas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Victor J. Navrat dies in Marion
Victor J. Navrat, 70, Marion, father of Malinda Ann Schmidt of Augusta, died yesterday at a hospital in Marion.
The rosary will be at 8 p.m. Sunday at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pilsen. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church. Monsignor Arthur Tonne will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was born Sept. 7, 1916 in Lincolnville to Philip and Elizabeth Melcher Navrat.
He married Helen Trostle on May 1, 1943 in Council Grove. She survives.
Mr. Navrat was a farmer and a retired oil field driller.
Other survivors include sons, James of Lehigh, Galen at home; another daughter, Janice Blessing of Carbondale, Ill.; a brother, Daniel A. of Marion, and six grandchildren.
The Thompson-Hart Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of arrangements.
