Monday, March 23, 1987 Gwendolyn Brown died in El Dorado
Gwendolyn Brown, 11, El Dorado, died Saturday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. Randy Gauger will officiate and burial will be in the Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
Memorials have been established with the Oil Hill School Special Education Department and the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation.
She was born May 19,1975, in El Dorado to Randy and Marilyn Marvin Brown.
She was a fifth grader at Oil Hill School in rural El Dorado and a member of the First Baptist Church in El Dorado.
Survivors include her father, Randy Brown of Missouri; her mother, Marilyn Brown, and stepfather, Randy Rickerson, both of the home; brother, Marvin Brown of the home; stepsisters, Jennifer Rickerson, Jamie Rickerson and Sarah Rickerson, all of Topeka, and Chantel Rickerson of El Dorado; grandparents, Wilmetta Marvin of Topeka, Alice Brown of Columbia, Mo.; great-grandmother, Minnie Dodson of Armstrong, Mo.
Myrtle Williams died yesterday
Myrtle Winnie Williams, 84, Augusta, died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. tomorrow at the Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Lyle Malcom will officiate.
She was born Oct. 7, 1902, in Sunset, Texas, to Jeff and Alice Alexander Harris.
She married Otis Williams on Nov.. 3, 1924, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1963.
Survivors include a son, Cecil Williams of Branson, Mo.; daughter, Wanda Clifford of Augusta; sister, Clemmie Minton of Wichita; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Gladys Sutton, preceded her in death
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
M.H. Schuermann died Saturday at 94
Matilda H. Schuermann, 94, Route 3, died Saturday at the Andover Nursing Home.
Her funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Seltzer United Methodist Church in Wichita. Another service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Jefferson United Methodist Church in Jefferson, Okla. Burial will be in the Pond Creek Cemetery in Pond Creek, Okla. Rev. Charlie Harrison and Rev. David McKenzie will officiate.
She was born July 16, 1892 in Iowa to Fred and Matilda Hartlieb Erdmann.
She married Theodore Schuermann. He preceded her in death in 1959.
Survivors include a sons, Mervyn of Memphis, Tenn.; daughters, Leta M. Weidner of Augusta and Evadna Potter of Wichita; sisters, Anna Hamilton and Martha Lawson, both of Augusta; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Downing & Lahey Mortuary in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.

Edith L. Scheetz died Saturday
Edith Louise Scheetz, 81, Arlington, Texas, sister of Jack Foster of Augusta, died Saturday.
Her funeral was at 11 a.m. today at the First Christian Church in Arlington.
Other survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann Stevenson of Arlington; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
The Moore Funeral Home in Arlington was in charge of arrangements.
Emery O. Lanier died in Wichita
Emery Orville Lanier, 83, Douglass, died Monday at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Swisher-Taylor
& Morris Funeral Home in Winfield. Rev. D.L. Hargress will officiate and burial will be in the Wilmot Cemetery near Douglass.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
He was born July 24, 1903 in Smileyberg to Otah and Anna Volkman Lanier.
He married Violet Leach on Nov. 23, 1925, in Winfield. She survives.
Mr. Lanier farmed near Wilmot until 1952. Later he ran a store near near Atlanta and worked for Boeing Military Aircraft Co. in Wichita.
He was a member of the Church of Christ at Winfield.
Other survivors include sons, Orville of Edgerton, Mo., and Lester of Douglass; daughters, Doris Folsom of Kansas City, Mo., and Thelma Williamson of Douglass; a sister, Nellie Parry of Douglass; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
