Edwin Cabeen died yesterday
Edwin Cabeen, 81, Leon, died Thursday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital inEl Dorado.
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Carlson Colonial Chapel in El Dorado. Rev. Art Wilson will officiate and burial will in the Leon Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
He was born April 10, 1906, in Kansas City, Mo., to Dr. Robert Jackson and Mamie Crosby Cabeen.
He married Ione Lindsey on Aug. 20, 1929, in Nashua, Iowa. She survives.
Mr. Cabeen owned and operated the DX service station in Leon before he retired in the 1970s.
He was a member of the Joppa Masonic Lodge in Leon and die National Rifle Association.
Other survivors include sons, Robert of Grand Junction, Colo., and Gary of Missouri City, Texas; a niece, Berta Macginnis of Herndon, Va.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Carole Harrison, and a grandson, Scott Cabeen, preceded him in death.
Cora L. Tibbetts rites are tomorrow
Cora Letha Tibbetts, 88, Lenexa, formerly of Augusta, died Wednesday in at a hospital there.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dunsford Funeral Home. Rev. Burl Allison Jr. will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 23,1898, in Stillwater, Okla., to Ephriam and Julia Ann Hughs Benifiel.
She married Lenn W. Tibbetts in Nowata, Okla., on April 29, 1917. He survives.
Mrs. Tibbetts was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Hutton of Lenexa; two grandchildren, Jeanne Ralston and Pennie von Achen, and four grandchildren, Bill and Tom Ralston and Megan and Kate von Achen.
A daughter, Carol Jean, preceded her in death.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church.

Frank L. “Boone” Church, 76, 207 W. Third, died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established with the American Lung Association.
He was born June 23, 1910, in Carthage, Mo., to George and Sallie Treadway Church.
Mr. Church was a retired Mobil Refinery Co. employee where he was a warehouse coordinator.
Survivors include sons, Kenneth of Beaumont, Texas, Bob of Augusta and Raymond of Anaheim, Calif.; daughters, Linda Adams of Augusta, Georgia Ahrens of Springfield, Ohio; brother, Willard of El Dorado; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Ruby Boucher died Saturday
Ruby Boone Boucher, 84, 1515 Country Club Dr., died Saturday at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta. Rev. Burl Allison Jr. will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Senior Citizens Center.
She was born Oct. 17,1902, in Haverhill to Thomas and Luara Rae Boone.
She married Geoffrey G. Boucher Oct. 1,1921, in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Mrs. Boucher was a member of the Cumberland Church.
Survivors include sons, Milford of Latham, Roily of Augusta; daughters, Aileen Leben, Barbara Elliott, both of Wichita; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
The Dunsford Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
Myron Deffenbaugh rites in Wichita
Myron Deffenbaugh, 85, Wichita, father of Charlotte A. Jones of Augusta, died Thursday at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
A graveside service was at 10 a.m. today at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Rev. Terry Murray officiated.
He was born Jan. 12, 1902, in Wichita to Morris and Ida Besey Deffenbaugh.
He married Mildred Cross. She survives.
Mr. Deffenbaugh was a retired Motor Equipment Co. warehouse manager.
Other survivors include a daughter, Leslie I. Ingram of El Dorado, and three grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Zion United Methodist Church in Wichita.
