Lee B. Harris died Saturday
Lee B. Harris, 79, Belle Plaine, father of Arlene Harris of Douglass, died Saturday at a hospital in Wellington.
His funeral was at 10 a.m. today at the Hatfield-Smith Funeral Home in Belle Plaine. Rev. Gary Fisher officiated and burial was in the Belle Plaine Cemtery.
He was born March 8, 1908, in Emery Gap, N.M., to Roy James and Effie Jeanne Williamson Harris.
He married Thelma Bolt July 19, 1935. She survives.
Mr. Harris was a retired Missouri Pacific Railroad section foreman.
Other survivors include sons, Cloyd of Wichita, Kirk of Udall; daughter, Arnette Lucille Harris of Clearwater; brothers, Woodrow of Park City, Russell of Pittsburg; sisters, Verna Harris, Wilma Powell, both of Pittsburg, Bonnie Herring of Mendenhall, Miss.; 16 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Donald Parker Sr. rites are Thursday
Donald Chester Parker Sr., 81, Blackwell, Okla., father of Gene Parker of Douglass, died Thursday..
His funeral will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Roberts Funeral Home in Blackwell.
He was a retired Blackwell Zinc. Co. furnace man.
Other survivors include a son, Jim of Wichita; daughter, Mary Barbara Dean of San Antonio, Texas.
A memorial has been established with the Oklahoma Crippled Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma, City.

Earl Bush died at 59
Earl E. Bush, 59, Hutchinson, father of Dennis L. Bush of Augusta, died Saturday at his home.
The rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at the Johnson & Sons Funeral Home in Hutchinson. The service will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Church of the Holy Cross. Father Stephen R. Baxter will officiate and burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Hutchinson.
He was born Aug. 27, 1927, in Hutchinson, to Roy O. and Ethel E. Tucker Bush.
He married Vera Gadberry on Feb. 20, 1947, in Minneapolis. She survives.
Mr. Bush was a foreman for the Carey Salt Co. in Hutchinson and served in the Air Force.
Other survivors include sons, Earl of Palm Harbor, Fla., David E. of Vidor, Texas; daughters, Patricia K. Reeves, Nancy J. Starlin, both of Hutchinson, Maria A. Smith of Estes Park, Colo., Michelle S. Bush, Jessica L. Bush, both at home; mother, Ethel Keesling, brother, Cecil O., both of Hutchinson; sisters, Corrine Harper of Wichita, Mary Lou Coen of Elkhart, and 18 grandchildren.

George A. Rose died Saturday
George A. Rose, 87, Emporia, father of Joanne Johnson of Augusta, died Saturday at an Emporia Hospital.
His funeral was at 11 a.m. today in the First United Methodist Church in Emporia. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka.
A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; daughters, Mary Hill of Wichita, Georgia Bjork of Wichita; sister, Peggy Boerger of Dallas, Texas; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrytle O’Bleness died Saturday
Myrtle J. O’Bleness, 79, Mount Hope, formerly of Augusta, died Saturday at the Mount Hope Nursing Center.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Mount Hope Nursing Center Chapel.
A memorial has been established with the nursing center.
She was born Dec 30, 1907, in Belpre to Fred and Clara Acuff Hager.
She married Ira O’Bleness on Nov. 29, 1929, in Kinsley. He preceded her in death March 22, 1986.
Survivors include sons, Robert J. of Wichita, Donald R. of Cheyenne, Wyo.; daughters, Jo Vierthaler of Mount Hope, Louise Jensen of Erda, Utah, Kay Hartsock of Estacada, Ore., Lynne Wagenbach of Houston, Texas; sister, Clara Johnson of Belpre; 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Cochran Mortuary in Wichita is in charge of arrangements.

Marguerite Rumpf died yesterday
Marguerite Wilson Rumpf, 67, Iola, sister of Betty Stueben of Augusta, died Sunday at the Allen County Hospital in Iola.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Star Valley Cemetery, west of Rock. Rev. Richard Cayton will officiate.
A memorial has been established with the Cowley County Hospice Inc. in Winfield.
She was born June 1, 1919, on a farm near Udall to Earl F. and Elda Keely Rumpf.
Other surivivors include her mother, Elda Rumpf of Winfield.
Miles Memorial Chapel in Winfield is in charge of arrangements.
