Lawrence I. Huse funeral tomorrow
Retired Boeing Military Airplane Co. tool & die maker Lawrence I. Huse, 87, died Monday, June 8. He was the father of Helen Blasi of Augusta.
A rosary will be said at 7:30 o’clock this evening in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Wichita where Mr. Huse served as an usher for 50 years. His funeral will be in the church at 11 o’clock tomorrow morning and his son, Rev. Ralph Huse of Denver, Colo., will officiate. Burial will be in the White Chapel cemetery.
He was born Jan. 16, 1900 at Independence, Kan., to Cornelius and Theresia Huse.
His wife, Anna Katherine, preceded him in death in 1981.
Mr. Huse was a member of the Holy Name Society at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
In addition to the daughter here and son of Denver, he leaves son Frank Huse of Norman, Okla., daughters, Barbara Sexton of Moore, Okla., and Rita Finney of Luther, Okla.; a brother, Philip Huse of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Opal Hankins died Monday
Opal Hankins, 75, Douglass, died Monday at her home.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Douglass. Rev. John Alter will officiate and burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 25, 1911, in Binger, Okla., to John Joseph and Lavina Howe Payton.
She married Randolph Ralph Hankins on Oct. 31, 1929, in Baker, Okla. He preceded her in death April 10, 1983.
She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a son, Gerry Lynn Hankins, address unknown; daughters, Lorene Turner of Aurora, Colo., Irene Taylor of Hugo, Okla., Dorothy Spires of El Dorado and Thelma Engborg of Boca Raton, Fla.; brother, William Payton of Gentry, Ark.; sisters, Addie Adams of Gentry and Pearl Seward of Prairie Grove, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and a step great-grandchildren.
Hilyard Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge of arrangements.

Glen E. Davis funeral Tuesday
Glen E. Davis, 32, Wichita, brother of Denise Martin, Augusta, died Saturday, June 13.
Services and rosary will be at 7
p.m. today at Downing & Lahey
Mortuary, Wichita. There will be
a 10 a m. service tomorrow at St.
Anne’s Catholic Church.
Rev. John Miller will officiate and burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Wichita.
Davis was born Feb. 2, 1955 in Wichita. He was an employee of Aero Sheet Metal Co.
In addition to his sister here he is survived by daughters, Rama and Wendi, both of Weatherford, Texas; father, Wayne W. and mother, Marjorie Schimmer, both of Wichita; a brother, David W. of Richmond, Va.; step-brother,
Brian Elderton of Wheaton, Md., stepsisters, Karen Chavez, Lynn Rausch, both of Wichita,; grandmother, Julie Woerdehoff of Carroll, Iowa.

Everett E. Davidson services today
Everett E. Davidson, 80, Belpre, brother of Irene DeHaven of Augusta, died Thursday, June
11. Rosary was 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. There was a 2 p.m. service today at St Bernard Catholic Church. Burial was in Belpre Catholic Cemetery.
Davidson was born Oct. 23, 1906, in Macksville, Kan.
On July 31, 1936, he and the former Edna Gallion were married in Dodge City. She Preceded
him in death in March, 1968.
On Feb. 8, 1969, he and Ruby Peacock were married in
Arkansas.
Davidson was a retired superintendent of Son-Ore Construction Co., McPherson.
In addition to his sister here, his survivors include his wife, Ruby; stepsons, Ray E. Peacock of Fort Smith, Ark., Larry L. Peacock of Mexico, Mo.; brother, Gaylord of Belpre; sister, Bonnie Morton of Sterling; eight step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.

Anna DeWeese, 85, Augusta, died this morning at her home on Custer Lane.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
