Grace Dunkin funeral Friday
Grace Dunkin, 79, Anchorage, Alaska, former Augusta resident, died Sunday, June 21.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Dunsford Chapel, 201 East Fifth. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Dunkin was born Nov. 28, 1907 in Wyoming, Ill. to W.A. Marshall and Lizzie B. Wallace.
On July 20, 1926 she married Cecil Theodore Dunkin in Haverhill, Kan. He preceded her in death in 1973.
She was a homemaker and won numerous awards for senior
companion.
Her survivors include: sons, Wallace, Flat Rock, Ill.; Jerry, Norman, Okla.; daughter, Edadeen Turner, Anchorage, Alaska; step-brothers-in-law, Robert Simpson, Augusta; Norval Simpson, Wichita; sister, Hazel Logan Greenwell, Springfield, Mo.; step-sisters-in-law, Mrs. Nadine Tarman, Augusta; Mrs. Geneva Basore, Valley Center; 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
Virgil Simpson, step-brother-in-law, preceded her in death.
Clayton Moen services Saturday
Clayton S. Moen, 100, of Melbourne, Fla., former Leon resident, died Saturday, June 20.
His graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Leon Cemetery. Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado, has the arrangements.
Moen was born Nov. 19, 1886 to Holvar K. and Karen (Olson) Moen in New Richland, Minn.
In 1928, he and the former Lizzie Edna Serber were married in Wichita. She preceded him in death.
He was a retired Cessna Aircraft Co. machinist and member of the Oddfellows Lodge in Leon.
His survivors include: sons, Virgil of Eastland, Texas; Chester of Hiwasse, Ark.; Eldon of Satellite Beach, Fla.; daughter, Cora Muth of Sedalia, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-greatgrandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the United Methodist Church in Leon.

Harold R. Cook services tomorrow
Harold Roseberry Cook, 79, Wichita, retired Boeing Military Airplane Co. jig builder, died Wednesday, June 24.
His funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at Culbertson-Smith Mortuary, Wichita, and burial will be 2 p.m. in Leon Cemetery.
Cook was born Aug. 5, 1907 in Stella, Mo. to John E. B. Cook and Inez Roseberry.
On Nov. 19, 1934 he and Fay O. McCaffree were married in Neosho, Mo.
His survivors include: his wife,
Fay; daughters, Wilda L. Cook, Shirley J. Prouse, both of Wichita; brother, Havins B. of Albuquerque; sisters, Jean Cook of Neosho, Mo., Charlotte Cook of Aurora, Mo., Mary Ridings of Colorado Springs; two grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Glenn Park Christian Church.

Emogene Satterlee Schmitt, 64, Wichita, sister of Inez Barnes of Leon, died Saturday, June 27.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Canton Township Cemetery with Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Olson’s Mortuary in Canton has the arrangements.
Schmitt was born March 21, 1923 to Ed Satterlee and Emma Serviss in Canton.
In addition to her sister, Inez of Leon, survivors include: brothers, Louis Satterlee of Wichita, Paul Satterlee, August Satterlee, both of Winfield, John Satterlee of Mesa, Ariz.; sister, Venus Lemert of Cedar Vale.
A memorial has been established with the Canton United Methodist Church.
Jillian N. Elder funeral today
Jillian Nicole Elder, Winfield, two-year-old great-grandchild of Mabel Elder, Augusta, died Friday, June 26.
Funeral service was 10:30 a.m. today at Miles Memorial Chapel in Winfield.
Elder was born July 15, 1985 to Terry and Lori Elder in Lenexa.
In addition to her great-grandmother, Mabel Elder, survivors include: sisters, Jessica, Katie, both at home; grandprents, Richard Elder of Wichita, Everitt and Rosalind Davis of Roach, Mo., Dennis and Beverly Henry of Syracuse; great-grandparents, Wayne and Lucille Staats, Nellie Henry, all of Syracuse.
A memorial has been established with the Kansas Chapter of the National SIDS Foundation.

Berry Lynn Smith, 28, El Dorado, grandson of Nellie Parry of Douglass, died Friday, June 26 in St. Francis Regional Medical Center.
His funeral service was 10:30 a.m. today at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Burial will be in Towanda Cemetery and Rev. Allan Holtz will officiate.
Smith was born Sept. 8, 1958 to Bobby Ray Smith, Sr. and Donna Parry in Ark City.
On June 12, 1987, he and Sondra Bannon were married in El Dorado.
Smith, a Cities Service roustabout, was a member of the Towanda United Methodist Church of Christ.
In addition to his grandmother of Douglass, his survivors include: wife, Sondra; son, Tyler, of El Dorado; parents, Bob and Donna Smith of Towanda; brothers, Bob Jr. of Rosalia, Bill of Towanda, Benny of Plainville.
A memorial has been established with Terramara, Inc. in El Dorado.
