Fay Martin Mathew died Sunday
Fay L. Martin Mathew, 90, of Arkansas City, died Sunday, Aug. 30.
Her graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Arkansas City. Rindt-Erdman-Oldroyd Funeral Home has the arrangements.
Mathew was born July 23, 1897 to Charles O. and Estella Rhue Amy Comstock Lawyer in Dixon, Neb.
In Nov. 1941, she and Charles M. Martin were married at Medford, Okla. He preceded her in death in March 1950.
In Jan. 1958, she and Ira Earl Mathew were married in Newkirk, Okla. He preceded her in death in July 1978.
She was a member of the Methodist church and Two-Thirty Club.
Her survivors include: son, Forrest W. Gephardt of Arkansas City; daughters, Wilma Stacy of Augusta, Mildred Jones of Winfield, Helen Richardson of Las Cruces, N.M.; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
John G. Drouillard died Friday
John Glen Drouillard, 67, of Augusta, died Friday, Aug. 28 at the Augusta Medical Complex Inc.
His Masonic graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at Elmwood Cemetery. Dunsford Funeral Home has the arrangements.
Drouillard was born Feb. 6, 1920 to Jessie E. and Mary Gilliam Drouillard in Augusta.
On April 9, 1938, he and Enid Turner were married in El Dorado.
Drouillard was a lifetime resident of Augusta and was a retired pipeline welder. He was a member of Augusta Masonic Lodge, American Legion and pipefitters union. He served in the Navy in World War II.
His survivors include: wife, Enid; son, Eddie of Augusta; daughters, Connie Lee of Augusta, Ruth Guest of Provo, Utah; brother, Gail of Augusta; half brothers, Bob Ohmart of Haysville, Fred Ohmart of El Dorado; sisters, Venus Horn of Winfield, Nadine Tate of Denver; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Alma O. Marzolf funeral tomorrow
Alma O. Marzolf, 74, of Ottawa, mother of Glenn E. Bailey of El Dorado, died Monday, Aug.
31.
Her funeral services will be 10 a.m. tomorrow at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Ottawa. Burial will be 3 p.m. in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in El Dorado.
Marzolf was born March 6,
1913 at Bartlesville, Okla.
On April 4, 1947, she and Dale W. Marzolf were married in Kansas City, Mo.
Marzolf was a retired Ottawa Home Furnishing drapery department manager and a registered member of the Cherokee Indian tribe. She belonged to the Warren Black Post 60 American Legion Auxiliary and was a past president of Business & Professional Women. She attended the 1st Christian Church.
In addition to her son, Glenn, survivors include: husband, Dale; daughters, Barbara Sikes of Gentry, Ark., Mary Anna Young of Lyndon; brother, Merle Thompson of El Dorado; sister, Mary Alice Weber of Ellinwood; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial has been established with the Cherokee Indian Foundation.
Grandmother dies in Massachusetts
Mrs. Chrisafo Markos, 97, grandmother of J.T. “Jim” Markos of Augusta, died Sunday at her home in Newbury, Mass., a suburb of Boston.
Jim is one of some 30 grandchildren. The wake was yesterday and her funeral service was today in Newbury.
The late Mrs. Markos was mother of 11 sons and one daughter. Four of the sons survive.
Memorials to the Greek Orthodox Church in Newbury have been suggested.

Vernie B. Cobb died today
Vernie B. Cobb, 86, of Augusta, died at the Augusta Medical Complex Inc. today.
His funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Dunsford Chapel.
Rev. Bill Buggeln will officiate the services and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Cobb was born Oct. 31, 1900 to Joseph and Abigail Emma Jessup Cobb near Douglass.
On Dec. 15, 1930, he and Vaneta Kisner were married in Wichita.
Cobb was a retired farmer and served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
His survivors include: wife, Vaneta; daughter, Joyce Thevenet of Augusta; brother,
Mack Cobb of Andover; sister,
Vina Boucher of Miller, Mo.; three grandchildren.
