Monday, October 26, 1987
Augustans’ sister died in El Dorado
Glenna J. Fulmer, 57, of El Dorado, sister of Barbara McCulloch and Larry McWilliams, both of Augusta, died at home Saturday, Oct. 24.
Her funeral service was 11 a.m. today at Trinity Episcopal Church in El Dorado. Father Leonard Evans and Father Willys E. Nustrom officiated the service. Burial was in Walnut Valley Memorial Park. Carlson Funeral Home had the arrangements.
Fulmer was born Nov. 29, 1929 to Moses and Hattie Hedworth McWilliams in Carthage, Mo.
On Aug. 1, 1948, she and Gene Fulmer were married in El Dorado.
Fulmer was a homemaker and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church and Daughters of the American Revolution.
In addition to her sister here, survivors include: husband, Gene; son, Mark of Madison; mother, Hattie Harding of Augusta; sister, Wanda Austin of Houston. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.

Augustan’s brother died Saturday
Guy C. Bostwick, 87, of Burlingame, Calif., retired civil engineer, brother of Edgar of Augusta, died Saturday, Oct.
Bostwick was the oldest of nine children, all born in the same home at Hoyt, Kan.
In addition to his brother here, survivors include: wife; son; daughter; five brothers and sisters.

Shirley A. Davis died yesterday
Shirley A. Davis, 54, of Douglass, an employee of Wilson Quik Mart, died yesterday.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Countryside Christian Church in Wichita. Burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Highland Cemetery in Ashland. Rev. Mike Hughes will officiate. Downing & Lahey Mortuary in Wichita has the arrangements.
Davis was born Nov. 22, 1932 to Lorin and Ethel Mertz Silvey in Yates Center.
Her survivors include: husband, William; sons, William L. of Douglass, Jeffry of Thayer, Kerry of Douglass; daughters, Melanie Davis of Wichita, Sandi Davis of Joplin, Mo.; sisters, Charlene Allred of Peck, Joyce Lakin of Wichita.
A memorial has been established with Countryside Christian School.

Max Coffman died Oct. 24
Max Coffman, 83, of El Dorado, died at his home Oct. 24.
His funeral service was Tuesday at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado. Burial was in Towanda Cemetery.
Coffman was born Feb. 22, 1904 in Tingley, Iowa. He moved to Towanda in 1929.
On May 22, 1931, he and Virgilene “Gene” Murray were married.
Coffman worked for Boeing Military Airplane Company for 17 years.
His survivors include: wife, Virgilene; brother, Miles Coffman of Wichita; sister, Pauline Emigh of El Segundo, Calif.

Services pending for Sallie Lange
Services are pending for Sallie Lange of Potwin, sister of AuDeen Lichlyter of Augusta, who died yesterday.
Lamb-Nutter Mortuary of Whitewater has the arrangements.

Shelton Haworth funeral Monday
Shelton C. Haworth, 83, farmer, stockman, and carpenter, died last night at Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Miles Memorial Chapel in Winfield. Burial will be in Latham Cemetery and the Rev. Art Wilson will officiate.
Haworth was born Feb. 4, 1904 to Clinton and Ruby Seabridge Haworth in Longbeach, Calif.
In 1928, he and Beatrice A. Wakefield were married in Winfield. She preceded him in death in July 1973.
In 1975, he and Beulah Ozbun were married in Augusta. She preceded him in death in 1984.
His survivors include: sons, Wayne of Rock, Bart of Wilmot, Kan.; daughters, Louise Ball of Pawnee Rock, Treva Latta of Valley Center, Donita Sullivan of Kansas City, Mo.; brothers, Chalmer of Atlanta, Lowell of Liberal; sisters, Laura Mae Wingert of Burden, Esther Merle Ewing of Hutchinson; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Emphysema Division of the American Lung Association.
