Augustan’s brother died in Hutchinson
Charles M. McHaley Sr., 55, of Hutchinson, Ark Valley Electric employee, brother of George Jr. of Augusta, died Thursday, Nov. 12.
His funeral service was 2 p.m. today at Johnson & Sons Funeral Home in Hutchinson and burial was in Fairlawn Cemetery. Brother Bob Raigoza and the Rev. Jim Broshears officiated.
McHaley was born Jan. 18, 1932 to George E. and Marie Hatheway McHaley in Hutchinson.
On Sept. 1, 1951, he and Ruth Watkins were married in Iola.
In addition to his brother here, survivors include: wife, Ruth,; sons, Charles M. Jr., Tracy, both of Hutchinson; daughter, Debbie Flinn of Houston; mother, Marie of Hutchinson, brothers, Jack of Hutchinson, Myron, address unavailable; six grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Hospice of Reno County.

Rebecca Kester died Friday
Rebecca Kester, infant daughter of Lance and Cyndy Kester of Wichita, granddaughter of Gayle and Donna Irvin of Augusta, died Friday, Nov. 13.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. tomorrow at Quiring-Old Mission Mortuary in Wichita.
In addition to her grandparents here, survivors include: sisters, Satrina, Jerika, both at home; grandparents, Norven and Janet Kester of Wichita; great-grandparents, George and Lucille Babb, Lucille Custer, all of Wichita, Elma Groendyke of Medicine Lodge.

Augustan’s sister died in Wichita
Mary Elizabeth Humphrey, 70, of Wichita, homemaker, sister of Rowena Gilliand of Augusta, died Friday, Nov. 13.
Her funeral will be 2 p.m. tomorrow at St. Paul’s United Mehtodist Church. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery in Furley and Rev. Charles J. Chipman will officiate. Cochran Mortuary in Wichita has the arrangements.
Humphrey was born Feb. 4, 1917 to George and Cora Patterson Meyer in Furley.
On Oct. 14, 1938, she and E. Richard were married in Abilene.
In addition to her sister here, survivors include: husband,
E. Richard; son, Richard H. of Tucson; daughters, Rowena Hinshaw of Wichita, Kathleen Boyer of Ignacio, Colo.; sister, Sylvia Morris of Wichita; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
A memorial has been established with Methodist Youthville in Newton.

Maxie I. Pulliam funeral tomorrow
Maxie Irene Pulliam, 88, of Augusta, died Saturday, Nov. 14 at Augusta Medical Center Inc.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. tomorrow at Dunsford Funeral Home, 201 East Fifth. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery and Rev. Richard Axmann will officiate.
Pulliam was born Sept. 1, 1899 to Charles Amos and Effie Edna Wilkerson in Fulton, Mo.
On May 10, 1925, she and Everett Lawrence Pulliam were married in Braman, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1980.
Pulliam was a homemaker and member of Eastern Star Chapter 211 and First Baptist Church.
Her survivors include: stepdaughter, Louise White of Kansas City, Kan.; grandchild, Kenny White of Kansas City, Kan.
One brother preceded her in death.

Alice Diller died today
Alice Velma Diller, 81, of Augusta, retired sales clerk for C.R. Calvert Co., died today at Medicalodge of Douglass.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m Wednesday at Dunsford Funeral Home, 201 East Fifth. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Diller was born May 19, 1906 to Aubrey and Clara Dennett Kirkpatrick in Augusta.
On July 11, 1928, she and Arthur Diller were married in El Dorado.
Her survivors include: husband, Arthur; brother, Harold of Augusta.
One brother, Lowell, preceded her in death in 1972.
A memorial has been established with Church of Christ.

Mary Frances Senn died yesterday
Mary Frances Senn, 91, of Wichita, homemaker, died yesterday.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Dunsford Funeral Home, 201 East Fifth. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Senn was born April 15, 1886 to William M. and Amanda Ann Stratton Melton in Strafford, Mo.
On July 20, 1906, she and Bert John Senn were married in Chelsea, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1962.
Her survivors include: sons, Charles N. of Winfield, John J. of Wichita; daughters, Violet Smith of Hutchinson, Irene Hunter of Wichita; sister, Olive Glasby of Lawton, Okla.; 11 grandchildren.
Three daughters preceded her in death.
